For who? Who cares about mid table clubs that aren't making progress?
Teams that are there after gettin promotion I understand, but a team that have been faffing about, with more concern about own history than progress, pfffft!

Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed? You seem tetchy. Oh that's right you got up on the wrong side of a defeat to your noisy neighbours. :D:D

Losing at home to fulham for any team is poor. Proves though that Liverpool are a mid table side and that the Messiah is no better than Roy.

You do fulham a disservice. They are playing well at the moment, much better than us.

I dismiss roys stint at the club, I don't think he had a chance to do well, didn't get enough time. Therefore I don't compare it as I think it would be unfair

So, what price Liverpool to finis in the bottom half. :D

BTW, would be interesting to see King Kenny's record compared to Hodgsons.

It's equal.

They've both recorded 1 league victory at Anfield in 2012.:naughty:

Not at all, I was just going to bed and disappointed in your childish name calling.
However, that clip is comical

edit - double post issues again

So does anyone think Chelsea will be on channel 5 next season ?:)

Have to say that the bottom 3 as it stands will go down. Would love it though if villa were to drop, that would be the highlight of the season.

I like Johnson, but has no way played enough this season to warrant a place, me thinks. Same could be said with the Ox, but I'd deffo like to see him go.

Exchange Defoe with Wellbeck.

Exchange Milner with Barry.

Think Kyle Walker deserves to be in there too.

Cissé is just amazing, next Alan Shearer? If he carries on like this then he's gonna go down in the history books as one of the best EPL players ever.

May be getting ahead of myself saying that but I can definitely see it happening.

On the subject of the england squad:

Hart
Richards - Lescott - Cahill - Baines
Walcott - Barry - Parker - Johnson
Rooney - Bent

Subs:
Foster
Cole
Jones
Milner
Oxo Cube
Sturridge
Crouch

The rest:
Ruddy
Shawcross
Walker
Young
Defoe

Although it will probs be

Hart
Walker - Terry - Rio - Cole
Parker - Lampard
Walcott - Rooney - Downing
Heskey

With Richards being shunned again, with Jones and Smalling even playing over him and Walker getting a MOTM every game for being AMAZING.

Cisse is incredible - he's making it look so easy!

Why would omit Ashley Cole from yuor starting 11?! Surely England's most prolific player for some time.

Again, another omission of Danny Wellbeck. I think he's showing more promise than Sturridge at the moment (admittedly, the latter is playing out of position) but I think he should definitely go.

I think it's likely Glen Johnson or Kyle Walker will be preferred over Richards at right back.

If Heskey goes I am moving to Vietnam for the chop.

Grant Holt anyone?

Wouldn't that be Keiwan Wichardson?

England squad for me would have to be:

GK - Hart
RB - Richards
CB - Cahill
CB - Terry (just)
LB - Cole
RM - Walcott
CM - Parker
CM - Barry or Wilshere if fit
LM - Young
ST - Rooney
ST - Crouch (astonishingly!)

Reserves:
GK - Ruddy
GK - Foster
RB - Walker
CB - Lescott
CB - Smalling
LB - Baines
RM - Johnson
CM - Lampard
CM - Carrick
LM - Oxlade-Chamberlain
ST - Defoe
ST - Sturridge

and Phil Jones as a flexible 25th man (though not 25th choice!).

Holt is probably more deserving than any other English striker this season given what he's achieved with Norwich (and that he's a fellow Salopian :D ) but a call up would be astonishing because of his age and lack of experience at international level. If Carroll gets a place before Holt I'd be pretty miffed though. He's everything Carroll tries to be, he just does it a damn-site better!

Wilshere unfortunately ruled himself out last week. Big loss.

Again, no Wellbeck! Fair enough, opinions and all that - but I think he'll be there.

I like the idea of taking a young squad, but I think Hodgson will take the aging (30+) players (Terry, Lampard, Rio, Barry, Gerrard).

Totally agree with what you're saying about Holt. Be a nice surprise though, and defenders wouldn't know how to deal with him.

Really? He's rubbish, give me Shawcross any day.

He's a thug like all Stoke players (crouch excepted) and deserves no part in the national team.

I too think we'd benefit from a major revamp to the national team, leaving a lot of the older players who've failed to prove themselves internationally out, but I can't see that Hodgson will be bold enough to leave players like Gerrard and Ferdinand out.

I've learnt a long time ago to expect nothing from England and players playing for england. They're all shadows of themselves in the club kits.

I've met Ryan shawcross. He's a top lad. You just dislike stoke so much evacuee your nanny pamby fairy team always get a bruising against them :D

Nah he's alright, he's less thug than John Terry. From what I know of Ryan Shawcross he's a pretty decent guy.

Terry is a thug too, but he's also the best centre back we have. Ryan Shawcross is a brute made to look marginally less thuggish because he's stood beside Huth every game.

I hope I'm sufficiently conveying my utter contempt for stoke :D

Haha my teams performance against stoke has very little to do with it. Even shawcross' challenge that broke Ramsey's leg I accept was an unfortunate, unintentional accident.

I dislike stoke so much because week in week out they *******ise the game of football with tactics that amount to no more than who can boot the ball highest, who can push their opponent off the ball hardest and who can consistently get the run of luck with refereeing decisions going their way.

Not to mention the extent to which I hate the place itself, the pillock Tony Pulis and the farce of an excuse that got him off a driving ban.

Of course, how could I forget the half-wits they have as fans!

I suppose now is a bad time to ask if anyone is a Stoke fan here?:lol:

I woudlnt say no to Shawcross, rated him for a while.

Why are people still picking Barry - he has been shocking for England and not good enough! Personally cant see why people miss Richards at RB out, best RB imo and cant see how Walker can be picked ahead of him. Maybe at the next WC Walker and Gibbs will be ready but not now. Milner I would only take as he can play anywhere!

Wow! I've just seen Cisse's 2nd goal. Has to be 2nd best goal of the season for me! Doesn't quite beat Crouch's volley but it beats Suarez's chip, which probably comes 3rd. How he got the ball to shift that much to the side and back down over Cech is a mystery!

Again, no Wellbeck! Fair enough, opinions and all that - but I think he'll be there.

I see Wellbeck and Sturridge as being very similar. Sturridge just edges it for me in terms of reliability and versatility though.

Not a Stoke fan, but their fans do seem to create a lively atmosphere unlike many other grounds that seem so sterile these days.
