poor half for liverpool, only looked interested in the last 10 minutes. Ramires looks like he could cut through the back four any time he wants.

Found the match on Sky extra ch ITV London.

Busy in the garden but caught Clive Tyldesley's comment just before the game...."Didier Drogba is a loveable lump and Graham Norton certainly got inside him last night"

that was spooky

Got to go out now. Typical, just as it was getting exciting.

We do not need goal line technology...we just need good officials like today.

Well done to Chelsea, as I predicted they won. Enjoyed the game as I wasn't expecting anything so it was good to see it ramp up in the second half and Liverpool really dominated the second half with some great football.

Andy Carroll came on and was superb so it's good to see him starting to answer his critics. His second goal wasn't quite over the line, but what a great save by cech.

Well done lads, you can old your heads high after that one

Disagree.

We need the goal technology so that the teams afterwards have nothing to complain about or say the wrong call was made. I'm sure dalglish will say that it was a goal and blame it on the ref, but if the goal line technology was there he'd have nothing to complain about. Also we can only go on a camera angle which can be deceptive. It needs to be foolproof.

Looked pretty clear to me from these angles.......

I did have a chuckle when Dalglish gestured the ball had cleared the line by almost a meter with his hands!

Liverpool have £85m worth of new signings on the bench

just read this on the bbc you got the fact wrong. The £85m on the bench that was talked about was caroll and torres (£50m + £35m) not £85m of new signings for liverpool on the bench.

Ah my mistake...that's what I get for watching the cycling and listening to the football build up!

Just watched the FA Cup final (we're a bit behind up here) and it was about the right result.

Thought Chelsea were the better side - Liverpool got stronger towards the end but that was expected having rested all their players.

Ashley Cole - 7 FA Cup winners medals - that's a claim to fame and Chelsea now have as many FA cups as Liverpool (unless I've been fed rubbish) - where did that come from !

Had to chuckle at the news tonight regarding FFP and City's Umbro/Nike deal.

Just like the Etihad naming which gave them 'icome' (albeit paying themselves) they've gone a step further this time.

Nike already own Umbro (who City have a long deal with) but the owners are chucking dosh at Nike so Nike can put it back into City and call it 'income'.

Owners once again finding a way to pump their own dosh into the club and call it FFP icome.

It's a joke.

I follow bbc 5 live on twitter and twice now I've seen they've asked liverpool fans to get in touch to explain why they boo'd during the national anthem. I didn't hear it on tv so if it did happen it must have been a very small contingent. Does anyone know if it actually happened or are they just fishing to find a controversy story because there was nothing controversial from the game itself?

Henry Winter (Telegraphg Journo) tweeted about Liverpool fans boo'ing the National anthem whilst Chelsea fans sang it.

I must admit I didn't think many in the ground sang it full stop!

The booing (is that a word) of the National anthem was very loud and very obvious. I actually felt sorry for the girl singing it.

Anyway - it was same old contrived victim nonsense they love to churn out - it was due to the fact that nobody from the Royal Family attended any of the ceremonies for the 96.

I was very impressed by the two singers they had. Both had incredible voices which is something I don't usually expect from these types of ceremonies.

Had a look on YouTube for a video of the national anthem but only found one with a still image and audio overlayed so far from convinced by it. Strange that I didn't notice it in the first place!

I think I'd best keep my opinions regarding hillsborough to myself!

I have to agree with Phil. The booing was quite loud and certainly obvious. Most embarrassing.

Not many of the Chelsea team sang the anthem. But none of the Liverpool team bothered to open their mouths. They, and their booing supporters, should be ashamed.

On lighter note. Our anthem is a bit rubbish isn't it. It's so drab and monotonous. I vote or a change. Something like chaz and Dave's rabbit rabbit would be much better.

So what are people's predictions for today at the top? I'm predicting a city draw and united win.

But would love a city win, come on city. Do it for the ABU's :lol:

Newcastle win
Spurs win
United win
West brom win
Everton win
Qpr-stoke draw
Sunderland-fulham draw

well, i just put a pound on an accumultor for that outcome, so if you're right i'll be £600 better off

Haha funnily enough I just decided I'd kick myself if I was right and put 50p down on that as well. Where do you bet? Bet365 gave odds of 888/1 rather than 600/1.

i use coral, sounds like i should switch!

I've not used Coral before but I've found Ladbrokes and Bet365 consistently offer the reasonable odds, with Bet365 having the nicest in-play interface. Odds vary so much though I don't think one place can always be called the cheapest. 600 to 888 return is a big difference though :)

City will win. Well they will if I go through to the living room to watch it LOL

Spurs a goal down !
