Anybody else fed up with people panic buying ?

45 mins I spent at the petrol station today.

I wouldn't have minded but there was only Kenny Dalglish ahead of me in the queue.

And don't tell me; whilst everyone else was paying £100 to fill up, KK paid £5000 and put diesel in by mistake. So now it's only firing on 3 cylinders and running all lumpy. :D

A ton of goals scored today - looks like torres has finally started to re-find his form, which doesn't bode well for us at the euros.

Van persie losing to QPR is a surprise considering the two clubs recent form, and what a bolton comeback

As I predicted the demise of man city has come. That won't be the last game they don't win this season either. In the end it will be a comfortable win for manure.

It appears QPR an only turn it on against the big boys. Ironically, the "awful" run in could be a blessing in disguise!

I had a feeling Man City might not have what it takes in the final furlong, Utd always seem to finish strongly, reminds me of Newcastle's capitulation in the 90s. Only hope we can do something to help City next weekend. :D

Great to see the Abu Dhabi All Stars drop two points. Could just do with the bin dippers losing and its a great weekend for football.

What a win, what a performance! We've given ourselves a glimmer of hope although Bolton & Wigan winning keeps thing so very tight down there.

On way back now. Great performances all over the pitch, and tactically brilliant from Hughes. We're still in big trouble but who knows. Man Utd are one of the only teams to totally dominate us this season, so not that hopeful for next week. Wolves are gone....

Not really. At this stage of the season teams at the bottom (aside from wolves) do pick up and get points.

So Wolves getting rid of mick is really working.

I must admit, I do find it odd that McCarthy's No.2 took over. If the problems with a team are down to the manager, there's a good chance that the problems are endemic within the management team. It appears that may well have been the case at Wolves and, if they weren't going to get rid of the whole management team, they probably would have done better if they'd kept McCarthy.

True, but teams at the top tend to as well. I think the commitment of all the mid-table teams with nothing to play for leads to teams at the bottom and top generally wining against them - with exceptions of course and use 0% of available statistics!

Wolves made a big mistake, they may have gone down but looks like they have virtually guaranteed it, and who is one of the best people to get you out of the Championship...first name Mick...
I thought your boys were odd today, most of the possession (an incredible amount at times), I really thought you were going to tear us to pieces live Liverpool did at times, but hardly any chances created. We were very defensive at times but still...

Losing to qpr is exactly what I expected this season. Every time we've been fighting to recover our position we've played well. When we've been billed as favourites for a league position we've looked complacent and have let any advantage slip and that's just what we've done here. We do best against the in-form teams and those who are struggling to do well get gifted easy points with complacency.

Taking my 7 year old daughter to Elland Road for her first ever football match tomorrow.....I'm almost as giddy as she is!!! :D

Hope she has a lovely time. I remember taking my eldest daughter to her first game at Old Trafford a few years ago. I wasn't sure how much she would enjoy it but she loved it.

PS

Delighted with the City v Sunderland result yesterday as I thought City would only drop points away from home.

Newcastle v Liverpool today. Hard to call this one

Anyone spot the April fools joke on bbc website. Terry Connor saying wolves can stay up!!!!

Sitting down to watch the Liverpool game. On current form you would expect Newcastle to be the favourite and win today but hoping that we can pull off a draw.

I'm hoping for a heavy Newcastle win.

Shocking dive by Carroll in the first half. Reminded me of the kind of thing you used to see from ronaldo.

As i predicted it looks like Newcastle will be getting the win. 2-0

He's been taking lessons from that cheating **** Suarez! Shameful!

Haven't seen the whole thing, only the gif above. Did he dive or did he just fall over the ball? Did he appeal? Looks like, if he'd stayed on his feed, he probably would have scored.

I'll have to see it again but at the time it looked like a dive.

Silly from Reina but perch should be ashamed of himself for going down like that, what a pussy. There was barely contact.

No Reina for 3 games will be tough.

The good news is I had cisse on my ff team

Yep he dived, tried to claim for a penalty and when the ref booked him for the dive he got right into the face of the ref.

Also Reinia got sent off as well............:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

This will all be Evra's fault mind

Looking forward to seeing Kenny rage in the post match interview later. No doubt it's all one big conspiracy against Liverpool :cuckoo:

Coming from a team with Suarez in it that's a bit rich. He goes down without contact all the time. Justice for all the pens and free kicks he cons.

He's just so quick it just looks like he has gone down with no contact. He's quicker than even your mind can catch up with. :D

I want Sigurdsson to sign for Arsenal so bad. I actually signed him a long time ago on Football Manager 2012 not realising he was currently on loan at Swansea City because his stats on there were incredible. Now he's doing his thing in real life at Swansea and looks like an absolutely class act!

Liverpool are close to achieving something that very few teams archive in league football. The phantom season.

If they can get to 10 spot and concede 3 goals they'll have had the phantom season. Meaning they are at the exact same spot they started on day one with the same goal difference :lol:

Here's hoping that Blackburn can take some points off manure tomorrow and put a positive spin on a dismal weekend

Liverpool started the season in 8th position because of their alphabetic position :p

Would'nt it be ironic if Antonio Valencia played for Valencia, David Villa played for Aston Villa and Danny s***tu played for Liverpool...

Football Manager distorts reality - I always use to think players were better or worse than they were based on it! I won't be surprised if you put in a bid for Tarrabt at the end of the season.

Haha of course, I wasn't suggesting it's true to life! Taarabt is another class player although I think he's had something like 70 shots this season and only scored his first yesterday. No doubt he'll improve with familiarity to the PL though. He's one of the only QPR players I like...sorry :D I'm not sure he's on Wenger's radar because I've never seen a story linking him to the club. Arsenal seems to be a club that is full of transfer speculation from the press that is usually far from the mark though!

You mean you don't like Barton? :p

To be fair to Tarrabt, he's been a different player since Hughes took over, back to him Championship best. I don't think you'd sign him for the goals per se, but for his assists - he has vision (and the ability to go with it) - Van Persie would love it. Anyway, I'll stop trying to sell him to you - he's rubbish really! ;)
