That just sounds Sooo wrongI once did a bikini shoot on a beach in Wales in the middle of December at sunset. It was about 5c. The sky was blue and had a great colour lol.

Oh how times change.
Usedlens shows 49/50 X100Vi's for sale from dealers, plus some on the bay.
Nearly all below the new price.
They are getting easier to get new now. Wex had some a couple of weeks ago, John Lewis last weekend and LCE still has some.Oh how times change.

Gannet at Bempton.
I visited Bempton for the first time.
It was a foggy morning which added a lot of atmosphere. I had a 24-70 so had to be patient for close-ups. Great day out. The viewing platforms were busy though. Got to see plenty of puffins, a first for me. Looking forward to to returning soon.

Lovely shots. I've just seen another thread about Bempton and there were no puffins in it; I was wondering when the best time to see them is. I really need to get there!
Now is a good time but Bempton isn't necessarily the best place to see them as they are generally few in number and more difficult to spot.I was wondering when the best time to see them is. I really need to get there!
As it should be, I hope MPB lose a shed load of cash having tried to rip people off.Oh how times change.

A huge miss for me, X-T5 or X100Vi, both offer significant advantages.Any thoughts on the X-E5?
Thank you. I’m no expert but on the seasons for Puffins. There were plenty of them, but I didn’t have enough reach with my set-up.
If you can’t see them there are plenty people happy to point them out. This happened, a lot![]()

A very short distance down the coast is Flamborough and it can be easier to see more Puffins on the cliffs there - however for the best Puffin experience in that 'area' it has to be the Farne Islands. Even if you spotted no or few Puffins, Bempton is a great experience for the Gannets and other seabirds & other species (first place I ever photographed Tree Sparrows).
I'll send you a DMI've bought a new UK Fuji 70-300 a few weeks ago, (saving weight over my Nikon zooms) but I don't like it.
So, if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll put it up for sale. As new condition (it is new).
Depends on if you want a rangefinder form factor Robert. I believe (stand to be corrected) its roughly a X-T50 in a different form factor.Any thoughts on the X-E5?

Sorry Toni.Peter - please do not advertise your gear in the forum - all sales must go through the for sale section of the forum.
And please don't offer to buy things when someone does this.

Could you expand on why you don’t like it? It’s my prime (or should I say zoomI've bought a new UK Fuji 70-300 a few weeks ago, (saving weight over my Nikon zooms) but I don't like it.

I’ve been frustrated with Fuji AF recently. You rate the Nikon gear for that? I know Sony is pretty good tooI’m comparing to my Nikon wildlife gear. It’s an attempt to save weight. Which it does.
But the af is not up to Nikon standards.
As a walk around it is fine. But I have other gear for that purpose.
Super fast AF is not Fuji’s strong point, but it can be quite quick if you learn to trust it, try mashing the shutter button rather then prefocus/pressI’ve been frustrated with Fuji AF recently. You rate the Nikon gear for that? I know Sony is pretty good too
Yes well the Nikon z8 and to a lesser extent the Z5ii are noticeably better.I’ve been frustrated with Fuji AF recently. You rate the Nikon gear for that? I know Sony is pretty good too
Nike by Paulie-W, on FlickrFocussing at all would be nice. Number of times an X-T50 with the new 16-50 kit lens misses static subjects in the near ground is unacceptable IMOSuper fast AF is not Fuji’s strong point, but it can be quite quick if you learn to trust it, try mashing the shutter button rather then prefocus/press
Having recently decided to pick one of these up from WEX tomorrow, this was exactly the sort of thing I didn't want to - but probably needed to. I hadn't read that focussing was a problem with these - Back to the drawing board I guess.Focussing at all would be nice. Must admit. I have not noticed this issue.Focussing at all would be nice. Number of times an X-T50 with the new 16-50 kit lens misses static subjects in the near ground is unacceptable IMO
You’re just 2 Kool for Skool…Got some new trainers, and figured they might like a picI used @Garry Edwards hard lighting challenge tutorial for reference. Little bit of PS.
