The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Finally got my hands on this little guy in a Fuji mount, the new tiny flash from Godox iT30 Pro (not sure what's pro about it? lol).

But it's great, it is both a trigger and reciever, it can therefore be my wireless flash setup, with the X100VI it makes a miniature package! (Leaf shutter too!)

It has a OLED touchscreen, a full METAL hotshoe (impressed) with 2 settings in narrow and wide.

Yes, true.

Personally, I'd probably be willing to spend around £300 on it, given it doesn't shoot raw.
 
While drifting around London, I came across this “Empty Grubby Back Yard” that I figured was worth a Snap. I deliberately gritted up the presentation a bit because I thought it suited the subject.

Playing about with my new x-pro1 + Viltrox 25mm f1.7

Crop straight from the camera, everything else in the camera set as standard. Quite liking the colours

(please excuse the fake Wisteria in the background, the OH put it up whilst we are waiting for some other stuff to grow up)

Quite please with the camera apart from the sensor is filthy, dust and what looks like a greasy finger mark.
The suppling shop is sending me out a full cleaning kit. So hopefully this will sort it out.

Dried Fuchsia from the garden (poor rescue). 24 shot stack, T5 80mm Darkfield lighting.
Also got one of which I played with the saturation.

*Edit* After mutiple times at playing around, I`ve decided on this version :thinking:

Took the plunge and ordered an x half in graphite. It’s on offer at Amazon plus I had a nice amount on my gift card balance.

Going to use it mainly as a pocketable family time camera and print 4x6 from it.

Already held one so know what it’s like but not used one yet. It’s tiny, so will easily fit into a shirt pocket when we’re out.
Hopefully this’ll stop my regret of selling my v’s and vi.

Nice one… I’ve got the green light for our 25th wedding anniversary next week, mainly cos the better half wants a Marc Jacob’s Leather Tote bag but I still think I’m going to wait and hope for a price drop.

Currently about £50 off list on Amazon. Luckily I had (it was ‘we’ but my wife doesn’t know it’s now gone lol!) just over £150 on a gift card balance.

Think it’ll be a perfect lightweight edc.

Hello Fuji folk.

Finally had a day out with the camera earlier this week. A lack of motivation has kept the Fuji in the cupboard for months. I decided a new location might bring the enthusiasm back so I drove over to Dinorwic Quarry. I've never been there before but I'll certainly be back - as soon as possible. What a fantastic place, a real photographer's playground. There are a couple of locations I wanted to get a pic of but couldn't find before the clouds cleared and the sun got silly hot. Hopefully I'll find them on a return visit.

Lovely shots! I think James Popsys did a video there a while back, looks like the same place. It's on my list, next time I'm working somewhere near :)

X-E5 by all accounts is way over priced and hyped.

Might as well get X-T5 or X100VI with leaf shutter, built in ND, pop up flash

The real reason why there's a few X100 VI's around is simple, they've got loads of made in China stock to shift that was bound for the US before Trump introduced tariffs. They switched some production to Japan purely for the US market but now he's hit Japan too.

It will all settle down again once they've sold the spare units which shouldn't take long.

I wonder what the pre order for the X-E5 are like? You can still order one from John Lewis delivery on/from August 14th.

Again at John Lewis they had 5 X100VI added to the website yesterday and they where all gone by early this morning.

Yes, I know :(

I have aperture rings on my X100f, all my 35mm film lenses obviously, Sony 24GM, 35GM & CV40/1.2 - it feels so strange using my 85mm without them :ROFLMAO:

The reason I asked the original question, was that I shot Bristol Pride last weekend on the X100f zone focus as usual & on my film camera - but it was so much nicer looking at the lens markings than it is looking at the distance scale on the LCD/OVF. But if there's no suitable lenses to pair with an X-Pro2 or something then I'll stick with the f as it is :)
 
I use the tt artisans 23 & 25mm, 7 artisans 35mm with zone/manual focus. Prefer 7 artisans scale markings but prefer the clicked aperture on the tt’s.
They’re great lenses for the low cost. My favourite is the tt 35mm f0.95, the distance scale is pretty spot on too. These will all work on an xpro2, all x mount.

Ah, I was only searching AF lenses with markings :)
 
The Fuji 23mm 1.4 i had was AF. Sure it had the dof scale on it.
