The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Can I ask for some opinions on the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 lens please? I'm very tempted to pick one up for a trip away next week, it seems well reviewed but as always some real world opinions would be great

Its a good lens I briefly had one but its not really "my" focal length! I was very impressed with the quality, etc though especially for the price!

Lucky boy.
My XH2 is still on the DPD van but should be delivered by 4.45pm
My cards and L bracket and spare battery are all ready to go. I just have to configure once the camera arrives then it is off to test.

My L Bracket isn't arriving until tomorrow but my 16-55 has just turned up!

Well only managed a few shots in the house, probably won't get out until tomorrow but the extra detail is very noticeable!
Will try and get some similar shots that I've taken previously with the XH1 for comparison but as a self-confessed pixel peeper I'm very happy.

Not quite feeling the handling yet, not quite sure why but its probably because I don't have the Smallrig grip yet - that gives me somewhere to put my pinky!

It is here it is setup, backup done on X-Acquire of my settings.
New battery fully charged.
Ready to rock.

Now for a bit of testing.
Today or tomorrow is the question.
I cant really shoot using the current daylight as it is falling away. But I guess I could go do some sunset shots at the coast!

Also need to sort out what lenses I put in my day bag to pair with the XH2S and XH2.

OK been trying to assess how to demonstrate the XH2 v. XH2S capabilities.
I guess I have to use the lenses on this list (below).

So I have the option of 15-55mm f2.8, 50-140mm f2.8 or 80mm macro or 90mm f2 as well as the 70-300mm or 100-400mm.
I think that it has to be the 16-55mm f2.8 or the 90mm f2 or 80mm f2.8 macro.
Decisions, decisions.

I managed to source a 16-55, just makes life easier - only taken a few shots in the flat and out the window but it seems sharp enough to me!

Forgive the spam - It's been a slow day at work...

Last one for now. Believe it or not this was shot at lunchtime a couple of days ago. I guess the sun is starting to hang lower now, and combined with thick patchy clouds it can lead to some dramatic light! I actually shot a much larger panorama than this (around 9 shots), but then didn't like it at all, and instead cropped in on this area, which I probably could have got in 1-2 shots. It's not the first time I've done that, and probably won't be the last!

That solid mass of cloud in the background was headed towards me, and this light was gone just seconds later.

Any idea how the Sigma works with extension tubes?

Mine flips out a little bit... But then, mine are cheapo amazon jobbies. Never had a problem with any other lens though.

It acts as though the lens is being connected/disconnected over and over for 10 secs or so every now and then. In between that though, it works just fine.

Personally, I can get similar results just using the 70-300mm since it has a ridiculous close focus. If I need REALLY close, I go with the 18-55mm on the tubes, more towards the wide end since it gives better magnification, between 23mm and 35mm is best.

Thanks for that. If I got a set it would be the 3rd party ones.

I should have gone out yesterday evening. It has been chucking it down here all day.
OK I have to wait for another day to test the XH2.

It's got weather sealing, don't be so.........wet :ROFLMAO:
But I havent. 15mm of rain today.
I blame it on "Liz Truss me I havent a clue what I am doing and KamiKwaze I can crash anything!".
Tomorrow is another day and I needed to be here today.

Out with the H2 and Viltrox 23 on the dog walk

No noise reduction here. No crop

ISO 2500 I've run this through Imagenomic Noiseware
It's my feeling that the H2 is a little more susceptible to noise than the H2S, could just be me Pixel Peeping though..
More testing and examples required

Managed to grab a few shots between rain clouds yesterday, nothing notable but nice to get the camera in hand.
I have to admit though I am struggling getting used to the handling v the XH1 - I know a lot of the reviews mentioned the dial changes, etc but it just feels like a lot of things are in the wrong place!
