The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Yes, this has been a worry for me having shot FF Nikon D600,800, 850 and then Z7, and APS-C which was really grainy/noisy which is why the D3 was susch a breakthrough camera.
However Topaz DeNoise AI is very good.
I found Topaz to be a little waxy in skin tones. Prefer DXO pure raw or Imagenomic Noiseware.

Out early this morning with the H2S
Certainly learning a bit more about the sensor.
I've been used to using my GFX recently for these kind of shots .
I underexpose to preserve as much detail as possible and compensate in post.
The APS-C sensor is much less forgiving when trying to recover 2 or more stops, particularly at ISO 800
Anyway, got these to share..

nod to @chrism_scotland These with the Tammy 17-70

Purely for information
The X-H2S is now supported by PureRaw
First shot as from the camera ISO 800
2nd is a very quick and extremely dirty edit processed in PureRaw and has 3.5 stops of exposure added to the foreground
Excuse the lazy masking. Pretty good result as far as noise goes.

#3 is a cracker (y)

We're not long back from a two week holiday to Outer Hebrides (Lewis/Harris), such an amazing time spent there along with great spell of weather. Here's the first edit from one of the most amazing beaches there........Alfie boyo so loved it....!
More images to sort out from this amazing trip...

FAB FAB FAB. Love him Pete

Just returned from a trip 'home' to NZ (although I have lived here in UK much longer than there). A couple of shots from the trip.

the last shot before leaving is one of my favourites, hand held, shot through a window with reflections so was a little tricky. XT3 70-300

Two very nice captures Donna.

"Hope you enjoyed your trip back home"

Had a wander around my local seafront today. They have a free event every month during the summer called 'Classics on the Beach' where anyone with a vehicle that is 25 years or older can park on the promenade. Good to have a V back in my hands again...

Nice shots Alan, liking them all but love the Cortina.

Very nice set of captures Alan, liking all of these very much.

Yep. Had it since launch. Seems pretty good so far. I’ll have a look for samples.

How do you rate it versus the 18-55mm? It's obviously larger, but the constant aperture, stabilisation, and weather sealing make it a pretty attractive option...

Honestly not used it a great deal. Yonks since I had the 18-55. Obviously I also considered the 16-55. Chose the Tammy because of its range and a YouTube vid from DP Review where Chris rated it pretty highly. Wasn’t much else to go on pre launch. Build quality is OK. Feels a bit plastic. Optically it’s very good. I’m happy with it. Eye af is quick when using it. (On the X-H2S)

Out with Alfie at local forest this afternoon (along with our brand new 12wk old collie pup, Lucy, but won't sit still......as yet), grabbed this image of him.
