I want to shoot some video with the XT3, as its an airshow you can get quite a bit of wind noise, can anyone recommend a small microphone to use with this?
That's a bit special, well done Paul, fantastic.Up at 4am to shoot thisDefinitely not my kind of thing, as I feel shattered now lol
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it. Especially as I think I'm crap at anything landscapey...

"Excellent" landscape/seascape capture Paul, nothing more to be said.
"Sorry for late reply, I don't get on the Fuji thread too much these days"
Thank you, George
No worries, my friendWhere you hanging out now then?
I've given most of my Fuji gear away now, just kept an H1 & a set of lenses. I've still got a GFX system that I mainly only use when I fancy a bit of studio work but mostly just drift about with a Sony RX100M6 or RX10M4 (1-Inch sensor jobs) which will do pretty much anything I want to. I had to cut down on weight that I could carry about for one reason or another so I bought the Sony units and liked them so much I kinda stuck with them.
I know, right...Who needs a 28mm GM???
I know, right...
Just spent 90 minutes walking the dog carrying Fuji, might even have taken a decent picture. Really enjoyed myself.
Yeah. I’ve a secret longing for X-T200 (not so secret anymore)Its a great little camera, I thought I might take mine for a walk at the weekend, and teh colours are just so right

I've played with other Bayer sensor X series cameras, but as soon as you add in interchangable lenses the charm seems to disappear, maybe its the rendering of the ILC lenses compared with the original X100 lens. The AF of the X-Tx00 cameras never seems to match that of the Xtrans X-Ts either. My recommendation given your kit experience would be not to go there!
I've got rid off just about all my X-series ILC stuff, I just have an X-M1 with a pinhole lens, and my wife has an X-T20/18-55/23mmF2 - I still love the X100 and X100F and they aren't going anywhere, but these days my focus is on MF (GFX and film), though like you I like playing with new toys (and I seem to have acquired quite a bit of Canon FF gear film and digital, but this is just a distraction. As I get older (wiser) I'm more interested in improving my photography rather than following the gear treadmill and film has taught me that colour rendition is something I really value, hence the love for the X100.
I find that using film, which gives a limited number of shots, makes you slow down and think about your image more than digital. That thinking bit seems to hurt, probably why I'm still looking for a lens for my EOS 620.....![]()
Anyone interested in the upcoming X-H2? Plenty of rumours on it about ... looks interesting, me - I'm still happy with the old H1, as little as I use it I do still enjoy when I get to. Might be the same situation for me, wait and see, wait for the prices to drop, get it used![]()
Thinking about it. I love the size of my x-t30 but its too small. My mates xt2 is a great size in the hands. I love the look of the Fujis but when it comes to it i need enough function buttons so I can change settings without moving my hands when composing. Would probably get used with a 50-140Anyone interested in the upcoming X-H2? I’m sure it’s going to be lovely. But difficult to justify as probably going to cost more than a Sony a9 using similar tech that was released 5 years ago. Easier to justify if you only shoot Fuji though I guess.
That's one way to look at it, another is that Sony lenses, to get the most out of an A9, are going to cost a lot more. And I don't think the pricing on an X-H2 will be in the same ballpark - I mean, we could talk GFX, which IQ-wise would blow the Sony out the water ... we're talking an APSC model here, that can still use the cheap as chips, yet very decent, current Fuji budget end lenses. One of my fav lenses atm is the XC35F2 for example, a lens that costs a mere €190/£160 brand new - same optics as the XF, double the price version, so long as you're not iffy about WR or having an aperture ring [I don't generally care about either] - options!
Yes but a Canon R6 can still use budget EF lenses, it’s a different snake pit now (compared with X-T2/X-H1 days), there are a lot more mirrorless players with some very effective hardware. If Fuji price it right it may do ok, but if it’s priced too high it will only appeal to a few existing Fuji shooters.
Two model line up, the H2s which is rumoured as being 26mp and the 40mp to release later. The 40mp rumoured to be less than £2500 so the H2s will be less. Don't know much about the BSI stacked sensor but if they have much improved AF then that will be a major plus for me!I’m sure it’s going to be lovely. I`m more curious, than interested in getting one. I only have an H1. But won't be jumping in to a new thing for a while (gotta get any bugs sorted), as I got caught with the D750 fiasco, when that was launched.Anyone interested in the upcoming X-H2? Better AF especially in low light is my biggest wish too, and I can't see that they'll fail with that. I would like the controls to be pretty much unchanged too.Two model line up, the H2s which is rumoured as being 26mp and the 40mp to release later. Post on Fuji rumours showing a diagram of an optional removeable fan that can be fitted into the flippy screen compartment for keeping the camera cool during long video usage I guess. Thought is the bigger XH2 will have that fan built in. Would have loved to have seen the H2s being stills only body but that will never happen. For Fuji shooters they are going to be great, no doubt. I loved my xh1. Such a nice camera to use.
