The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Nice one (or two), Steve (y)
Always eats up a little time in PP ;)

Actually, this was pretty easy... As the only thing that's different is me, I just selected one half of the right hand "me", with a feather of 25, and then did a copy & paste onto the other image....

Worked great

Well ya can`t knock easy PP when you can get it done :)

One from the garden. I was stalking a Robin, but the little b****r was teasing me, so I settled for a Bee instead ;)

Very nice Fujigraph, well caught with some good colours.

George.

Thanks, George  It`s the first time i`ve really tried to track anything on Fuji.

Just a simple candid street style Fujigraph taken at London UK of a guy with his Guitar doing a bit of street playing.

Tokina lenses ... This could be interesting :)

Tokina has just announced three Fujifilm X Mount lenses coming for Fujifilm X.
Tokina atx-m 23mm f/1.4
Tokina atx-m 33mm f/1.4
Tokina atx-m 56mm f/1.4

Why would you develop a lens which will compete against the native? Would you not consider something a little different ?

I guess it either needs to be better (unlikely) or cheaper to make it an attractive option.

Looking to take my X-t3 out with me while on cycle rides (road cycling), I currently own a 18-55 and 55-200, so not practical or possible to fit in my back jersey pocket. Which lenses are the most compact? I once owned the 27mm, I didn't wow me... but would consider as it meets the brief.. but what else is there?

I agree with you, but the 33 might be a little different, Otherwise I too can`t really see the point unless they are going to be great and cheap ;)

Doesn't include the Thingfy Pinhole lens for X mount, one fixed focal length and one zoom. Though technically a pinhole isn't a lens!!

The main downside for me would be autofocus, being i`m blind as a freking bat lol I even struggle with the 80mm trying to use manual focus ...

Don't need to (can't) focus a pinhole!!!

The wide angle lenses are easy to manual focus, and with lenses like the Samyang 12mm, you can set it at about 3m and everything from your feet to the horizon is is focus!

My biggest issue with the third party lenses (and I'll exclude Zeiss here - as they are 'special') is the lack of consistency in colour rendition (and variance from the Fuji glass), often there is CA, and the lack of flare resistance. I loathe my Samyang 12mm and in most cases would rather do a two shot pano with the XF16mm F1.4, I only keep the odd time that it is useful, but usually it sits in a cupboard (and IMO where it belongs!!)

The Zeiss 32mm though IMO is just awesome, different to the Fuji 35mm glass, but the way blues and greens are rendered is just fantastic (and its got AF, and feels very well made) - I never got on with the 35mm F1.4 but feel at home with the Zeiss 32mm. IMO it complements the XF16mm F1.4 and 90mm F2 very well.
