The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Best to do any voiding at the bottom. If done at the top, you might slip on it on the way back down! :P

You wouldn't have enjoyed it up there:eek:

100% correct! I don't like heights if they're unfenced. Not a phobia - it's a perfectly rational fear!!! Stick a railing there and I'm fine but otherwise I stay my height away from long drops. Might be better now I have some balance but I doubt it.

We have got ore or less the same shots from the same places. Sun was too bright for my liking on Saturday. I would gave preferred some moody atmospheric potential.

Should have gone and gatecrashed a former colleagues wedding the other side of the Hill in Nant Gwrtheyrn, free bar!

Can anyone recommend a backpack that will hold an xt2 with 100-400 fitted and a couple of xpro bodies with primes fitted. I currently have to use 2 billingham pro bags when I take the xt2-100-400 out and they're a bit of a maul on a long days walk.

I bought a Lowepro ProTactic 450 recently which would more than do the bill, should take an XT2 & 100-400 down the middle with space at the sides for the X-Pro's

Thanks Chris. I've just been looking at one of those on Amazon.

If you don't mind could you measure the inside centre length for me and across the centre of the bag, I'll use it to scale up a bag photo. Not a problem if you can't.

Ive had 3 Fuji bodies and multiple lenses and filters inside with room to spare.

It's the flipping' 100-400 on the 1.4tc fixed to an xt2 with a battery grip. It seems to fill anything it goes into, mostly on an odd angle stopping anything else from going into the bag too!

I actually like the look of the anvil 15, it may even squeeze a couple more lenses in it for when I'm on holiday.

Its roughly 42cm Centre Length and 31 Across, it does taper in a little at the top but you don't lose much because thats where the camera body would sit.

None of my bodies are gripped so the 15 may make much more sense for you. I often carry my travel tripod (3LT) down the middle inside the bag, with bodies/lenses to the side, the weight balances better when walking. The X-T2+TC+100-400 is shorter than my folded tripod so you will have no issues in the length department!

Interesting looking place that Mickledore, maybe I should get a bit fitter and go. As SWMBO has decided she needs some space and has moved out for a while and my new job is less hours I should do both :D

Well, @ChrisH I shouldn't have gone. Waiting for a new knee and both doctor and SWMBO have told me to stop doing stupid things. I never listen. If you want the shots you've got to get out there.
Got a list as long as my arm for places to go this year.
You fancy a day inManchester on Saturday? It's Easter so the grockles will be out and about with their kids on quality time. Been fancying a day doing building stuff. Urbis for starters then what else is there? You're the local. Let me know and I'll check train times.

And please, Please, PLEASE learn how to use the tags and set you profile up to receive them!!!!!

I carry my 3 body (X-T2 + 100-400 & 2x telecon, X-t1 + 18-135 & X-Pro1 + 10-24) kit in a LowePro MiniTrekker. Snug fit but it does all go in, along with spare batteries and a compact or 2 as well. None of the bodies are gripped - pretty sure those straws would break the camel's back!!!

The tamrac 15 will be here tomorrow, just hope it fits in! It'd be nice if I could fit more in for when I'm on holiday.

It sounds weird but I don't like changing lenses, I like them to be on bodies when I'm out and about or on hols. Costs me a fortune in bodies

That's why I have the three bodies which give me pretty much the widest range possible using Fuji lenses! does leave me with a gap between 135 and 200mm but I can live with that.

Nice bit of light in town this evening. In other news, in my quest for a cheap alternative to the Fooj 10-24, I have acquired a Tokina 12-24 f/4, in its Nikon incarnation, with appropriate adapter (which controls the aperture but rather approximately).

First impressions: it's a chunky beast on my X-T10 but not unusable by any means. Quick test shots indoor suggest it will win no prizes at f/4 but should be decently sharp stopped down a bit. I'll take it out for a try in the outdoors tomorrow after work, I hope. The shot below is the 18-55 kit being its normal helpful self :-)

just interested in your tags comment, i presume you mean on flickr, and why does it matter how other people use them? or it it the @ tags that's become used on here all the time your referring to?

Nico don't worry what Mickledore says he's just having a dig at me lol
I've been away from Forums for some time and I've forgotten some of the settings. Laughable really as I used to admin a couple of websites.

Read my posts, where and what time. I might end up at a couple of shops to find another lens.
Chris, it's a long time since I stopped reading all the posts on this thread. Life's too short!
I'll do some googling and check train times then either PM or e-mail you.

Well you're not coming out anymore, so I have to play with myself:dummy::dummy:

You opened the gate. That means you must have jumped over the locked gate. That's naughty. You wouldn't catch me doing that!!!

Not guilty, taken as seen, bit windier than your shot, no chance of reflections. Bit busy at the moment but fancy Dinorwig later in the month, perhaps midweek and we could persaude @Alan Clogwyn to join us.

I wouldn't get too excited about Urbis in Manchester, difficult to photograph, lots of people about. I'd consider going to the Courts (old and new), Trinity Bridge and the area around Home, but the security don't like you using a camera there, but some interesting (very metallic buildings), that is if you can keep @ChrisH out of the camera shops, though some of the university buildings a couple of ring road junctions back from Camulet (A5103 area) look quite interesting, and it's easter holidays, so should have less students about, but before midday there won't be any up anyway! Of course you could always go to the Chips building and Fabrica from Calumet, not to far to walk.
