The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

@Mr Perceptive Jealousy will get you nowhere!!!!

Anyway. Saturday. There's a lot of water about. I'm planning to go back to the Ladybower plughole and then Padley Gorge. Fancy coming? You can buy me that bacon butty in Grindleford Station.

Rain, Strong Winds and Fran's Umbrella, a winning combination!!!

But I can't make it......... got quite a busy weekend already.

Would be up for the Peak District another time (and with no rain/strong winds forecast)

Like when?
I'm more or less available during the week, although traffic from here will be horrendous - at least an extra hour on the journey.
How is work looking for you?

If forecast on Friday is as bad as you say then I won't be going either, and neither will the umbrella!

I'm a bit busy with work now until the end of the month. Early December looks a possibility though.

Ordered the Meike MK-320F. It's expedited delivery though so no idea when it'll arrive

Is the plughole draining at the mo? I keep going but it's never been draining, either being fully submerged or well above the water line

Not at the moment no

If any of you want know ask me regarding plug hole as I live 10 mins away and work 5 mins away

Just been Googling weather for Ladybower and wind on Saturday is forecast to be light. Sunshine all morning. But temperature at freezing, which will rule out the southerners!
Web cams from round the area show lots of snow at present. That will have melted by w/e. Could be a goer after all.

Just done that. Way different to what I found. Then I looked closer at my forecast and it was from a weather station in Northern Norway!!!!
Oh well. It was nice to dream.

Can you guys tell micledore I live 10 mins away from ladybower so can see how it is for him and who ever

Just post-processing the last wedding I ever shot with Nikon cameras. I very weird feeling. Switched from Canon to Nikon exactly 8 years ago a few months before I shot my first wedding and it feels like the love affair is finally over :'(

@mickledore @rookies lives near the plug hole, he said you can come round for coffee and to talk over what camera to buy
Rookies is on my ignore list so we are unlikely to ever be in the same place at the same time.
I presume from the disjointed posts that I can see above that he is still asking his questions...the questions that he promised he wouldn't be asking!

Nope hes not. He was trying to be helpful about the plug. Said he can let you know the weather he lives 10 minutes away from it

I believe it's one of the main reasons for a camera specific thread. :D

He has it well under control this time.

Are we going to run a pool on what camera rookies is going to buy, if any? :D
Don't think you were on this thread earlier in the year when his lordship got up everyone's noses with his persistent and repeated questions about Fuji gear. He didn't buy then, and it will be a great surprise if he buys now.
Every home should have one, looks like we got a super dooper one!

No, actually he lives and works near the plughole, and has offered to a) say it's current status and b) give weather advice

The coffee and questions were made up/inferred by @Nuzik

Well all I can say it up to him wether he want ignore me or not. But when a meet up happens I be there to talk to him face to face [emoji106]

Thanks, Stephen. I've been trying to use colour more, but sometimes an image say use mono :)

That 18-55 seems to be a very tasty lens, for a "kit" lens [I hate that term, if it's bought separate it's not part of a kit, is it?] - Seeing some great images taken using it here, and on Flickr etc

Just curious, where does f/2.8 stop?

Some pics to break up the text :)

I really like using the X-T1 18-55 combo. Which is good, because this the only kit I possess :)

That St Pauls is stunning! I've only been there once many years ago and dont remember it being so grand!
Nice light on the dome, and a great sky behind it.

If you going be like that then I hope when it good you won't know and I'll pm people who I trust

I even know when the plug hole gets open and close so [emoji6]

Seems to be f3.2 at 20mm and f4 from 40mm.
