I would say it does edge the f2 when it comes to overall rendering. What about overall rendering, don't you find the f1.4 gives the nicer images?
Thanks but I m not a big fan of the 27 focal length. On the other hand, if you have a 50-140mm lens to trade I would be very interested [emoji6]I'm after a 35 F2, willing to trade my 27mm 2.8 for one plus whatever the difference. If that takes your fancy?
Very nice [emoji4]
Thanks! I think that's a very good result, considering the boats could have moved a lot more in 20s, and that f/22 is asking a lot of the lens. I probably wouldn't have gone beyond f/16 at the very most, more likely f/11, but I'm cowardly that way!

For me the Sony A7's (and A6xxx for that matter) are still the worst cameras I've tried from an ergonomics point of view, I really can't get on with them at all. Clearly I'm in the minority though![]()
I've tried to play with the Sony's, and I didn't get on with them either. I fell in love with the X range when my Bro'-in-law bought one.
I had d700 you want to hear shutter sound it sounds like balls slapping against an ass

I'm not experienced enough yet with the Fuji X system to know whether or not f/22 would be asking too much of the lens in these conditions but I knew (from seeing images taken by others) that a nice starburst effect is possible at this aperture, hence I cranked it down!
So if I was changing aperture or shutter on the xt2 while eye at view finder it doesn't show in view finder. I though it did. I think only gripe is you have hold button down while rotating the wheel?
Yes it does show up unless you turn them off in the menu. More often than not though I know what settings I want for a shot and so have everything set before I bring the camera to my eye which is why it's nice to have marked dials for each setting. So if I was changing aperture or shutter on the xt2 while eye at view finder it doesn't show in view finder. Read up on Preview Exp in Manual Mode, it does change but depends on how camera is set up.

Exactly, the only time I have it set fully manual is with landscapes. Generally I either shoot in aperture priority, or 'manual' with auto ISO.So before u bring camera to eye you know where to set aperture. Shutter and ISO? Wow I never able do that. Unless u have ISO at auto?

You can on Fuji but as discussed previously it's a bit flawed as it doesn't have an auto min shutter speed that varies with focal length used.It works great on d750 I know that but not on A7ii as can't set min shutter for it A7rii u can.

I've always said that the sound of an Olympus E1 shutter was like the dropping of an angel's drawers.I had d700 you want to hear shutter sound it sounds like balls slapping against an ass
Yes, but that's true of other manufacturers. Having auto at 1/focal length is a very good start and much more useful than having one setting. At present it means if I were to use the 18-55 and then swap to the 100-400 I'd have to go into the menu and change the setting first.Yes but if it was perfect it would take into account OIS enabled and how many OIS stops available...it would get very complicated, very quickly.

TBH, I just manually change the shutter speed if I need to hence why it's not a major issue.Obviously you can assign the Auto ISO selection to a function button, which then very quickly allows you to toggle through the three Auto ISO options. Not a complete answer but a halfway house.

Shut up I've just left Facebook because of idiots that's don't understand democracy and voting. Don't you start as well.Anyway, anyone seen the US presidency vote yet? Shocked is an understatement![]()
Lol, so what don't I understand? Can't I be shocked by a result?Shut up I've just left Facebook because of idiots that's don't understand democracy and voting. Don't you start as well.

I posted this picture on flickr some years ago. It has done nothing until the last few weeks when viewing figures have gone through the roof. Maybe the clue is in the title!

@Mr Perceptive Jealousy will get you nowhere!!!!Bl**dy hell, not a shell in site..........
Is the plughole draining at the mo? I keep going but it's never been draining, either being fully submerged or well above the water line@Mr Perceptive Jealousy will get you nowhere!!!!
Anyway. Saturday. There's a lot of water about. I'm planning to go back to the Ladybower plughole and then Padley Gorge. Fancy coming? You can buy me that bacon butty in Grindleford Station.
Dunno. It's always like paying to a chance child. However there is water in Padley Gorge and as Ladybower is on the way there I thought I'd just call off. Won't loose any time if there's not enough/too much water. Is the plughole draining at the mo? I keep going but it's never been draining, either being fully submerged or well above the water line![]()
