I had exactly those thoughts but decided that the waiting time for prices to drop was likely to be several months. The £ is being controlled by computers and twenty somethings who think that long term means next month so it will take some time for things to settle.
If you have the lucre you might as well use it. You'll get no meaningful return on your savings so might as well have the benefit of the gear.
You know you'll use it and you know it's a big step up from the T1 so why not? Coffins don't have pockets.
Yes please.Any body want one of these?

I have one going spare. Good condition. Hardly a mark on it. If any Fuji user is interested I'll put it in the Classifieds for £10 plus £2 postage. No-one else will be interested, so shout if you want it and we'll move over to where the selling is done.
Just replied in the sale thread. I think it's fair for Ash to make his mind up. Give him a couple of hours and if he doesn't take it then you can have it.Looks a nice bag - is it on first refusal to Ash?

Have you tried portraits in the Photos app Toby,it uses the updated version raw convertor from aperture, also Polar is pretty goodJust tried processing the Fuji files in aperture, wow the detail is incredible, much better for landscapes. Strangely it doesn't render portraits anywhere near as nicely, mainly because it doesn't have the camera profiles. Adobe RAW in LR is equally poor for portraits compared to the Fuji profiles imo. So it's aperture for Landscapes and LR for everything else for me.
Sorry. Ash has snaffled it. (Provided he pays!!!)Ok that's fine with me - thanks.
Payment sent.Sorry. Ash has snaffled it. (Provided he pays!!!)
Sorry about that. Ash is a fast worker. (His wife says that too!)I might have to get one at full price then![]()
Indeed I am, I've just ordered a back pack as well.Sorry about that. Ash is a fast worker. (His wife says that too!)
My wife would say thorough.Sorry about that. Ash is a fast worker. (His wife says that too!)
That's not what she told me.....My wife would say thorough.![]()
The nikon mount tamron macro i'm selling also has full manual aperture controlReally nice to see macro on Fuji and you got the eyes - nice.
One question if I may - does the 105 have a manual aperture ring or did you do the set and swap trick to get it to f11?
I'm slightly tempted by that. Does it have a focusing ring or does it need a slider rail? The nikon mount tamron macro i'm selling also has full manual aperture control![]()
Not used photos since it was first launched, tried it and didn't like it. Only had basic adjustments at the time, not sure what it's like now?Have you tried portraits in the Photos app Toby,it uses the updated version raw convertor from aperture, also Polar is pretty good

I'm in the market for a 23mm but can't decide between the new F2 or the original F1.4, as It will probably spend most of the time on my XP2 I'm leaning towards the smaller WR lens, anyone on here have any experience of these lenses ?
Plus it's significantly cheaper !The 1.4 is still a small and very portable lens. I think the question you need to ask yourself is do you want to shoot at f1.4 or not?
Question for those lucky enough to have compared an X-T2 with an X-T1 - how do they compare for viewfinder blackout when continuous shooting?
Whenever I try panning on my X-T1 it's a case of start the burst where I want, then guess the trajectory and speed as the viewfinder blacks out.Is the T2 any better in this respect? Its probably one of the few things making me reluctant to fully jump ship from my Nikon gear.
Thanks George. It's was great to finally catch one of these in the Loop.Very nice shot Si, well framed and great use of shutter speed.
"Those things sure do bring back some memories for me"
George.
Just wondering how many of you guys own an X-T2 and X-Pro2? I really prefer the X-Pro body from an aesthetic point of view but know that the X-T body is just more user-friendly (I have an X-Pro1 and X-T1).
Even without the custom AF, it has better controls for changing S/S, ISO, Drive, better EVF, a compensation dial that doesn't get moved as easily, and is just easier to hold in one hand. There are a few X-Pro2s on the used market for around £1100 and on TP they seem to go for around £1000. This is quite a saving over the X-T2 which is still hard to find and is around the £1300 - £1400 mark.
If you do own both or have owned both, what do you feel about each model and if you had the chance, would you have skipped the X-Pro2?
I had both - briefly - but recognised I had to get rid of one. The X-Pro2 went. It was a much more stylish machine, but I found the OVF hardly used, and I felt the camera was unbalanced with any sort of weighty lens due to it not being held centrally to my face, if that makes sense. I also missed the tilting screen of the X-T.Just wondering how many of you guys own an X-T2 and X-Pro2? Ah, that'll be why it's only showing as expedited shipping, normally as a prime customer I'd have it next day, I was wondering why, as I had never seen that shipping method before. Now I knowI ordered mine from Amazon on the 10th Oct, and it's taken since then to get it delivered. It looks as if they are shipping from Germany, according to the tracking info.
I too have both, I much prefer the X Pro 2. Looking through LR last weekend I was shocked to find it's my most used Fuji X camera. The XP2 just feels right to me, I can comfortably operate it with one hand. I also think it looks and sounds better. As Stephen L says, the X-T2 (with the battery grip) is better balanced with heavier lenses, but then it's in DSLR territory size wise. At the moment I'm keeping both, but If I had to make a choice I'd 100% keep the X Pro 2, it feels right and makes me want to pick it up and take photos, which is what it's all about !Just wondering how many of you guys own an X-T2 and X-Pro2?
