The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I've a Lexar UHS-II 64GB 1000X which I bought for my X-T1, the speed was shocking, it seemed to take an age to write. On my X Pro 2 it's much better, but I also have a Delkin 64GB UHS-II which I got from Calumet,Since I've now got the X-T2 I bought a Transcend 64GB UHS-II 2000x, it seems very quick. So It and the Delkin will go in the X-T2 and the Lexar 1000X in the X Pro 2. I'll try benchmarking them over the weekend on my Mac and see what speeds each card is capable of.

Well my XT2 has just been delivered. Can't play with it now because I am at work. Really looking forward to get it out of the box :)

Lol I'm still waiting for wex to confirm the price on my xt1 I posted to them on Tuesday so no rush.

Although I've no camera at the minute so you let had better get posting some photos!!!
From past experience with WEX, their first quote on used equipment is usually woeful, so I usually try MPB and LCE and if they better WEX go back to them and they usually beat the better quote. Beleive it or not when I traded an old beat up Canon EOS M in to take advantage of the £100 trade in bonus on the X-T2 Jessops gave me more than double what WEX offered.

They offered £480 plus £100 Fuji bonus online so I have sent it off to them. This is for the Graphite version.

Park Cameras - in fairness I did amend my order in August to add the kit kens, but not as late as when you made your order. Disappointing experience so far...
I posted a few days back that my local store had a T2 kit available. I don't know if they still have it, give them a call. Cameraland Cardiff.

I feel trapped. I already traded in a camera and got the pre-order discount on the grip. basically means i'm stuck. My only hope is the cameras actually arrive as promised next Friday - maybe even before...

The grip offer is still on until the end of the month and so is the trade in offer. I was told Fuji extended it.

It's interesting that both you and Virgil are the only ones seemingly having trouble and you are the only ones doing trade in. Is that significant or am I off up the wrong tree again?

I did a trade-in with Ffordes (actually they offered more than they initially quoted PLUS the discount). Was told they only expected 3 cameras and I was 5 on the list. On the day they received 6 and I got my camera. Always been more than fair with me. More than I can say with certain other dealers.

I traded in, placed my order about a week before release date and picked it up on day one.

Confusing this results with the cards guys.
I really don't know what card to buy. I might just wait for some reviews and use my slow (30mb/s) card while waiting. Don't want to rush things.

In regards to the screen protector I will order the one I posted cause 8£ is not that expensive ;)

Just buy the fastest that you can afford, with the capacity that you want, Card write speed does make a difference, even in normal shooting.

I normally always use mpb but as they didn't have the xt2 and no mention of the Fuji £100 trade in thought I woukd try next.

They have phoned me now and actually offered more £500 plus the £100. Can't grumble as I purchased in December from Amazon warehouse for £599 so I'm £1 up!!!

Hi guys, first post....have an XT-2 on order, upgrading from an XT-1. Does anyone know if a Macbook Pro will read a UHS-II card in the built in slot or do you need a USB reader ?

Ha good deal! I bought one of the others on offer at the time and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to part with it, the graphite is just too cool for school!! :D

5 mins to view a short burst? I use 95mbps( I think) with xt1 and nothing like 5 mins

Well obviously not 5 minutes dead on, I don't walk around with a stop watch to check these things. But I have just tried it now - 7 shot burst in CH, 15 seconds to be able to review the image before the last, 30 seconds all the rest available too. I have done longer bursts when I was testing the FW4 tracking and I had time to walk back down my garden and start making a brew before being able to review everything!

I brought an x-pro2 and i could tell the bag had been opened as the sticker came off to easy. Check the shutter count, take a pic and when you preview the number should be the number of shots.

Not necessarily, I put a card in with X-E1 and X-T1 shots on there and it's continued in series from the last X-E1 shot. If you had a blank memory card with no fuji folders in there it should have started from 0.

Possibly, i formated the card in the camera and it started from 8000! I could tell by the body it had been around the block. Unfortunately there is no definitive way to tell the shutter count.

Just got back from holiday. Pretty much no internet for the week in our apartment, so no tp, no YouTube etc.

What have I missed? Any issues or niggles with the xt2 reported? (Other than the battery thing?). The angry tog still doing a thousand Fuji videos a day, in the hope that Fuji will give him a free camera strap?

Had a week to play with the xt2. My my what damn fine job Fuji have done yet again! An absolute joy to use. Haven't processed any files yet though. The joystick/lever addition - much like on the xpro2 makes it so quick and easy to use, I can't wait to use it more.

I took three cameras on holiday - because I like to travel light o_O - xt2, x70 & a7rii. The x70 got used the most, followed by the xt2 and then the Sony which wasn't used outside of the apartment.

Seen a couple of reports of the occasional lockup but nothing significant :) I've not used mine all that much yet but it's been perfectly well-behaved when I have.

Anyone used the 100-400 on the X-T2 yet by the way? I already have the 50-140 and 2xTC but trying to work out if I can justify "needing" the extra reach.

Sold my 100-400 as have the 50-140&tc. I imagine it's a stonking combo though.

Nothing major to report. Battery thing has died a death. Some preorders still haven't been fulfilled.
We're off to Oulton Park today to try out the new A/F system. That will be interesting. I have a 55-200 and @Mr Perceptive has the 50-230. Who will get the best shots? Will either of us get any keepers? What will be to blame...camera or lens. And don't blame technique, because we ain't got any!

I imagine you'll both be sending the faulty cameras back!

Yes it will but only at UHS-I speeds. You can get a UHS-II USB reader for around £10 and that'll allow your mac to read the UHS-II card much faster.
