Wow. Yes. That sounds like the camera club competition judge who disqualified my night shot entitled "Lime Street". As the main object was the railway station he said the caption should have been "Liverpool Lime Street Station at night". I jest not, and stopped entering competions.
Whats an Escher?
Thanks! Interesting thought about the crop. This is pretty much how I framed in camera, but maybe I'll go back sometime and see if the symmetrical composition works for me. Seems worth a try, at leastAlready saw this on Flickr- makes me miss Oxford a great deal- 5 years next month since I left. Will be back one day.
Love the shot. The asymmetry in cropping top and bottom makes my brain itch slightly but it doesn't stop it being a cracker![]()
Also, worth a try: turn focus peaking off, and look for the sort of sparkly effect around textured surfaces. A bit difficult to describe, but if you can see the effect it's in focus, and I think it's more discerning than the peaking assist.Yes it's red high. I haven't used manual lenses for ages as I have an adapter and some old Pentax glass and I've been that used to autofocus lenses!!!

Ramsbottom Station original by Andrew Duxbury, on FlickrColour? The one I'm putting on mine has finally arrived in the country, at least! Maybe Monday and then you'll all be blown away!![]()
I commented on Flckr, as no doubt you've seen, but I prefer the blue colour palette of the first "HDR" version - much more moody. Reminds me a bit of some Glyn Dewis shots.
We're you on a crossing, being naughty or have permission?
Ah. Grey!Gun metal.![]()

@Mr Perceptive you are going to have to give me a tour of all these derelict sites. I can show you an empty flat beach as a swap!
Maybe wrong place but it pertains to XT10,i can't find in LR6 the fuji options for velvia Astia etc, plus it doesn't have the lens correction id of the lens,am i missing something
thanks

thanks yes inputting raw and i may have to check updates cut i reinstalled it hmm, thanks for link looking nowHave 6 or 6.1, 6.1 is the min requirement for X-T10, and you only get those options if you import the RAW file. Fuji lens corrections are done automaticall;y

London Aquarium by Chris Harrison, on FlickrThat's good. Very good. So good it's beyond my understanding
Can you translate? I presume the 23 bit refers to the lens but what does <3 mean?
It means heart which means love. I learnt this from some hormonal youths.
Discerning folk have the red ones!
Like that a lot! Nice PP.
Ah thank you. I can't remember being either hormonal or a youth!
Hmmmm sharp lens Frank but I'm sure you got at least 1 more number than me!Another from yesterday in Liverpool. Billy (of this parish) was taking a lot of shots of these labels.
Can someone explain what they are advertising, to a simple country boy like me?
