The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Wow. Yes. That sounds like the camera club competition judge who disqualified my night shot entitled "Lime Street". As the main object was the railway station he said the caption should have been "Liverpool Lime Street Station at night". I jest not, and stopped entering competions.
Whats an Escher?
:D I'm with you there! Competitions where you can actually win something useful, maybe. Camera clubs, no. Heard too many stories. Still that's a remarkable level of stupidity even for a camera club judge!

Already saw this on Flickr- makes me miss Oxford a great deal- 5 years next month since I left. Will be back one day.

Love the shot. The asymmetry in cropping top and bottom makes my brain itch slightly but it doesn't stop it being a cracker :)
Thanks! Interesting thought about the crop. This is pretty much how I framed in camera, but maybe I'll go back sometime and see if the symmetrical composition works for me. Seems worth a try, at least :)

Yes it's red high. I haven't used manual lenses for ages as I have an adapter and some old Pentax glass and I've been that used to autofocus lenses!!!
Also, worth a try: turn focus peaking off, and look for the sort of sparkly effect around textured surfaces. A bit difficult to describe, but if you can see the effect it's in focus, and I think it's more discerning than the peaking assist.

I commented on Flckr, as no doubt you've seen, but I prefer the blue colour palette of the first "HDR" version - much more moody. Reminds me a bit of some Glyn Dewis shots.

Yes I did Dave I've commented back i prefer the moody one as well but just wanted to show you the original which I personally find a bit boring!!!

Maybe wrong place but it pertains to XT10,i can't find in LR6 the fuji options for velvia Astia etc, plus it doesn't have the lens correction id of the lens,am i missing something
thanks

ok found the velvia etc thanks,so you don't use the x100 or x100s as the lens,it doesn't recognise the lens ?i mean if it does why doesn't it give the lens name?

do you enable the lens correction box ,or does it do it on import because enabling it doesn't alter anything?

thanks I saw that now on the little I information sign in the lens correction box, says the raw file has it applied , cheers
all

Anyone else have trouble getting a decent panorama using the built in mode? For serious stuff I do it manually but occasionally I like to use it. It works great on my x30 but using the same technique in the same place, my x-t10 has more steps than... Well... It has a lot of steps. Also differing exposure stripes too. :(
