IQ is very similar indeed. The 16-50mm has slightly more distortion at 18mm but it's corrected in RAW and JPG anyway :)

Might have to look into one. You can get them for around £100 which seems really good value. I don't use zooms that much generally, it's just those odd occasions where would come in handy. I found this recently on a recent trip away.

To make amends before you jump over to the dark side I think you should buy a nice XF10-24mm and sell it on (to me) then at least you'd have one forum member (kinda way) on your side :rolleyes:
Seriously though I got my Canon 5D3 out of the safe the other weekend, put on the 24-70mm and the 70-300mm L in my bag with a few batteries and when I felt the weight of it, I said [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] it and took my XT1 instead, I'd forgotten how heavy my FF kit was.
 
Anyone here using UHS-II SDXC in their XT1 ? I bought a Lexar one, and first impressions , it doesn't seem appreciably faster, I only had a quick play with it last night. Seemed to get more shots in high speed burst, but the write time seemed about the same. I'll have to do some more scientific tests when I have time.

Whereabouts in Liverpool 1 is that? Looks like a car park but I'm intrigued - didn't know there was a dedicated car park in there. There is a similar staircase inside the muem on the waterfront.
 
David might not be the only one on the way out the door...

Really struggling to get on with the af/lack of reach on the xt1 so might move it all on and get a d7200 or d750 depending on budget...

For the life of me I can't think where it is, It is a car park that links to Liverpool 1

Well I've started trying to do more wildlife so Would rather have something 400mm+ to stop cropping so much. And even with v4 the af really struggles with birds. Even the tracking tries to focus on the sky above or below a bird rather than on it

Thanks. The website mentions 3 car parks in there. But as we are old fogeys our bus passes let us use the Merseyrail trains for free so we never drive into town now.
Methinks I'll have to have another trip in and do some wandering around.

The way their going it will be out with the XT4. Pain really as it's the only thing lacking in the lens line up IMO, it's been delayed by 2 years or so now plus the further delays. You would think they would dismantle the Canon 100-400mm which is an excellent lens and replicate with there own twist to avoid patent law.

Fair bit of difference between mirrorless and DLSR design I think, flange distance is considerably changed
 
Just thought I'd post another shot of a street musician taken on my X-T1 with 55-200mm lens as there seems to be a lack of images being posted at the moment.

I understand that, and was used as an example, but it will be something like a 4 year delay the way their going. Reading the rumour site above they seem to be putting all there effort into WR lenses, along with the recent heavyweight zooms. It just seems a little strange for me that the delays are so long when they can produce some excellent lenses.

It would have been nice if they could have designed some TC to use on the 55-200mm lens to give wildlife users a little reach. I understand it's not going be the brand of choice for serious wildlife shooters, but wildlife must still interest a lot of the Fuji users, like myself.
