The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Haha just buy it off me please! Just spent money on the Fuji stuff so do need to sell. Would go well with your new D750 ;)

You have a really good eye for landscape photos so right up your street :)
Flattery works..... Well played sir.

Sure, most FF f2.8 lenses are big lenses. Esp compared to APSC F4. The difference is better sensor performance and f2.8.

I agree, but a few of years ago took a day trip to London D700 24-70mm 14-24mm & 70-210mm,after a couple of hours doing photos,i started to run into some problems re my health,at one point i felt a seizure coming on manger to find a safe place in an park to recover,by the time i got home wasn't very good at all.
After that i knew i just couldn't carry around an heavy kit anymore,so the swap had to come for something lighter :)

I can't afford all those lenses so i should be fine. :D

Ah well. That potential photoshoot in Liverpool will never happen now. Simply because there's no way I could be seen out with a N , n, n..... sorry can't get that word out.

We ought to keep on moving said the leader of the push,
You're on your bl;oody own then,
Said the Bastard of the Bush.

Need to remove the extra Ns he's earned, from now on he will be known simply as 'mit'.

He's still got the X-E1, 18mm and 12mm on it's way, so there is hope yet!!!!

Had a quick look at my XT-10 and first impressions I love the size of it and with the 18mm and the 35mm it weighs next to nothing. I've also got the 18-55 and it feels unbalanced. Now thinking of selling the 18-55 and getting the 16-50 as its lighter and a bit wider but would lose the wider aperture or maybe going all out prime and getting the 60mm. I know there is an official grip but this just adds to the weight.

I used the 18-55mm on the XT-10 & XE-2 thought it was very well balance on both :)

I've had an xe2 and that was fine but probably need to have a full day with it and get used to it. I'm trying to find out how to switch the af assist light of as its bloody annoying!!

Interesting what a couple of you have said about the 18-55. I tried that lens in Wex on the X-T10 before I pulled the trigger and I thought it felt pretty good. I had one at one point and sold it... now wish I kept it! But mostly I shoot primes anyway. Just occasionally a zoom can feel handy and usefull.

Is the 16-50 pretty much the same optically? Without pixel peeping. I know build wise its more plasticky but that aside...

Also David @minnnt you were producing some really good stuff with your X-T1. Why the pull to FF out of interest? You still have the XE-1 so I guess best of both still.

@Ruffmeister, @minnnt is an addict. He is in search of the unobtainable and won't be happy with his d750 for more than 6 weeks

Thankyou @Ruffmeister

I have always wanted FF, never had one and thought it was about time i tried. It may all be a load of internet hype though and I'll kick myself. o_O

To be fair, if you found it wasn't for you then I'm sure you would get good money back. They seem to hold good values from what I see. Least you'd have dipped your toe in the water and given it a go. I use a 5D classic as well as my X-T10. There are certainly perks over mirrorless but it depends on situations a lot of the time. You'll definitely find the battery lasts a lot longer for one haha.
Wish you all the best with it :)

Erm...

Yeah i guess I'm banned from here now. :(
I'll be sorry to see you go mate, always enjoyed your posts, well most of them :).

I have a Nikon D750 / D810 as well as a XT-1 the Fuji XF lenses are excellent. To achieve top quality results with FF you're going to have to use top quality Nikon Lenses. You will be hard pushed to tell the difference in quality from Fuji and Nikon unless you start to print images really large.
