Wondered how long it would take you...

I'm reluctant to let it go if I'm honest I want the 23mm but want both and that can't happen!

No, he meant an offer for the cake

Lets say these are your basic setup...
So thats the 23.14 and 35 1.4 with Fuji = 855 or the 35 1.8g FX and 50 1.8g = £520, the Fuji 70-200 2.8 is £1065 and the Nikon 70-200 f4 is £900
Fuji = 1920 vs Nikon 1420
XT1 = £800 D610 = 1184
Package = F = £2720 N = £2604
I personally wouldnt use a Fuji to make money with, you can but imo there are better options. Fuji is not a cheap system if that has anything to do with your purchase, and thats APSC vs FF.

Thanks for the pics. Shame the new 35 is going to be f2.
I'm wondering if having the 18, 23 and 35 is a bit silly though.
It is when you're wanting f0.95.
Great pics btw, thanks everyone.
when is the XT10 going on sale?
and do the re furbs e.g. Pro 1"s from Fuji come boxed with charger etc?
Yes but for MFT and when you take in the relative sensor sizes and apply the multipler to the aperture, you're not comparing like with like.
What you obviously need is either Canon FF camera with the 50mm f1.0 or a Leica FF camera with a Noctilux f0.95 or f1, then you can win the war and end the argument!!!
I've preordered one from Wex - will let you know but so far the 18th is the official release date.when is the XT10 going on sale?

Been there done that, a7 + mitakon f0.95. Do I win an argument?
look forward to itI've preordered one from Wex - will let you know but so far the 18th is the official release date.
I agree. I've never had a client say, "Mmm, I wish they was less dof in these shots"...Maybe but is it an argument worth having? Personally (and sorry to people who have seen me post this 100 times...) I think that the shallow DoF thing gets beaten to death. I'm a bit of a shallow DoF fan myself be even so I've spend most of my picture taking life trying to get more DoF not less and with f1.2, 1.4 and even f1.8 lenses it's possible to get very shallow DoF on APS-C and even MFT by using long lenses and reducing the camera to subject distance. It wont be the same picture as a FF picture taken with the same aperture and your framing will be different but it'll still be a shallow DoF picture if that's your main aim.
Anyway, IMVHO the MFT v APS-C v FF shallow DoF thing is over rated.
Based on pro blogs I've read online. Obviously I'll try one first. The factor I have mentioned is my health. Holding a smaller package appeals to me based on my weedy health.![]()
