The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I think you need another 27mm owner to run this past and see if it is the same with all 27mm lenses like the Canon 50mm.
I'll step back, sorry I've not been much help Marc.

I'll check mine tomorrow Marc, have a feeling mine does slightly, only slightly tho. The noise of the 50-140 is a lot more noticeable than the vibrating of the 27, although that could be because the 50-140 has barely left the camera :)

Lmao. Might aswell have a 2.8 prime aswell then i guess. :D Adam, you'll thank me one day. You were quite happy with your 60D before you spoke to me... :D

Worth buying a Fuji just for this thread. ;)

Haha. Your just a bad influence. Won't be long till you jump ship back to nikon and try to convince me how much I need a d4s

That's it, someone will now come up with an eye adaptor to ensure it is open to the optimum aspect for the view finder.

First time I've ever heard anyone complain about the HUGE viewfinder of the X-T1.

Imagine how good it would be for all your manual focus lenses!!!

Actually I really dislike using EVFs for manual focus work (ask Woof Woof as I've only just retired from arguing with him about it :D). I have the 6D for MF lenses, which I know is the reverse of everyone else :D

I've found different fuji lenses act differently, my 35mm used to make a "clacking" noise, my 18-55mm makes a clicky kind of noise, compared to my Canon L lenses which are practically silent, it's a bit disconcerting, but normal I believe.

Has anyone used the panorama function at all? I used it in Portugal and it is very good, but I get bits of banding in the sky. Is there a secret to stopping this happening?

Do you mean some users or some cameras have issues with banding Cheers

Just tested my 27. Doesn't vibrate as such but it is quite noisey when focusing

I get vertical banding where the individual shots are stitched together in camera. Not every time but enough to be PIA. Only seems to happen with very bright sky.

Quick shot of the inlaws pup. I'm not much of a dog lover but even I admit it's a looker!

Incidentally, I really need to use this camera more.

Much less forgiving than my DSLR when it comes to getting shots tack sharp.

Bloody moving dogs

My 18-55mm is smooth & silent which was why I was querying the 27mm

My 27mm is definitely a bit juddery.

Thanks

I suppose it could be interpreted as noisy but I can definitely feel it as well but my hands don't work like most others so i could be me.

Thanks for checking.
