The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

none of my local ones had it all in stock so i had to use online but cant fault it.. ordered saturday, processed monday, received tuesday

they did ask if i wanted that and it would still be available today but that would mean driving 45min to get it

just trying to do cashback, in the date of purchase drop down box, all it says is ''please select'', not actually any dates, any ideas?

Chesterfield. Nottingham is still there but after he bummed me for a trade in of very good Nikon stuff for an e-m10 i am reluctant to use them. Guess it's my fault for accepting though.

My 50-140 was from Jessops though so I'm not aaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll bad. :D

Never actually used LCE even though there is one in town about 20 mins walk away, but I'd still take posted over collection every time if I knew I was going to be in :)

Ooh! Aren't those lenses big!

But ooh aren't those lenses great!

Size doesn't feel too bad tbh, the 16-55 feels fine on it to me

Having converted from a Nikon user (of many years) to a XT1 with 18-135 lens. I must say that I am enjoying myself finding my way around this Fuji. I will go as far to say that I am falling in love with it!

I have invested in Rico Pfirstinger’s book.

Has anyone got any good tips?

I guess you're both joking really, presumably this is less of a problem for the XT and XE series than with the X100 or XPro-1 with their OVFs? Or am I missing something?

(I have a film rangefinder and I have to constantly remind myself to check the metering; no metering == lens cap on and blank frame!)

Talking of lenses...
I'm just back from hols and took the 18-55 and a Samyang 8mm fisheye with me.
I kept wishing that I had something wider than the 18 but not as extreme as the fisheye.
I've looked on't tinterweb and there is a 12mm but there are reports that this is of variable quality.
What is the best suggestion for a lens of 12-14mm that doesn't cost the earth?
I'm quite happy with manual focus and aperture settings.

Well there appears to £75 cashback on top of the price reduction. Now if they will deliver to an Amazon locker that gets past the SWMBO problem. Watch this space!

Went into LCE in Leamington this arvo; they had had a XT-10 but sold it. The young sales fellow confidentially told me the files from the Fuji X were terrible, and I should really buy something else. I was holding their XE-2 in my hand when he said this!

BTW the body-only prices for the 10 and the 2 are the same, but the kit with the 18-55 costs £80 more for the 10! Go figure...

I've not heard that about the Samyang 12/2. Mine is very sharp. Wish I had time to use it properly!!

Hi, sorry to butt in, but help, I can't decide on a used XT1 or a new XT10! I need to make my mind up asap but each day I switch my decision!! I think it's just the size that swings me to the XT1?

My vote - XT1

Well the 1 is the superior camera, but only you can make that decision. Nobody has the 10 yet so it's hard to comment. The X-T1 is a peach of a camera. Super nice to use and great controls. A few here have pre ordered the 10.

I was in same frame of mind myself, but yesterday I bit the bullet and ordered a refurb XT1 Graphite, missed the postie today so I can't get it until tomorrow

I know, £100 premium! But if I go for the XT1 then I'll happily pay the premium!!! [emoji38]
