Also note they're using the 90mm but NEVER mention it.
I saw that, was waiting for him to say something

Looks a bit pants compared to the XT1. Wouldve been nice to see a new sensor from Fuji.
I'd be majorly p***ed if they put a new/better sensor in their new entry level body.Looks a bit pants compared to the XT1. Wouldve been nice to see a new sensor from Fuji.
ps it will be from the Fuji re store![]()
So you mean the graphite edition then? I thought you meant proper chrome!
That vid is on the previous page... Twice.
So what new sensor do people want to see? I'm quite happy.

Maybe large format and a billion pixels?![]()

Lol. They haven't released a new flagship camera, they have released a lower model. Why on earth would they put a new sensor into it?
Maybe the new XP2/X-T2 will feature a 'better' sensor. Surely that would make more sense?
some other firms wouldn't bother releasing a new AF system via FW, they'd flog you a new camera instead. Fuji have really been making their lens line up fairly strong by releasing a number of lenses over the last few months aswell. Perhaps their priorities lie in other areas before releasing new range topping cameras to go with them.
Is there any real need for bigger/denser sensors? The current crop in the X-T1 and X-Pro1 can deliver great A3+ prints and few people need (or even want) to go much bigger than that. Yes, less noise at high ISOs will be nice (not would, will! It's coming, sure as eggs is eggs.) as would a lower base ISO for long exposures without the need for filtration (again, I'm sure it'll happen before too long.) More DR is also almost certainly on the way. We don't need bigger, we need better IMO.
David mentioned "large format and a billion pixels" - I know it was in jest but as my sig says, "many a true word spoken in jest"! Have to admit that I'm looking forward to the long zoom so I don't have to crop so heavily into shots from the 200 end of my longest Fuji lens!
I guess we'll have to wait till ?next year? to find out what the XP2 brings. Its been a long wait so hoping for good things.
I thought the xp2 was coming this year? It seems to have been out for ages.

Yes, there is, actually. I came to the X-T1 from a D800 and, while I prefer the Fuji for a lot of reasons, I do miss the resolution. The greater resolution means that you can crop and only carry a single prine lens rather than carry a bag full of lenses or a zoom. For the most part, you don't notice the increase in noise because you don't compare shots on a 1:1 pixel ratio. Bigger sensors are nicer because of depth of field issues though, for me, not if you sacrifice body size.
If they bring out a 24 MP sensor, I'll be in the queue.
If you need to crop that often, the problem is not with the system, sorry its with the user ?
Would you make that criticism of anyone using a zoom? It's effectively the same thing.
Nikon have had 3 different sensor in their Series 1 cameras, and has made very little different in its sales![]()
I cropped an image from 16mp to 1.3mp and the detail was STILL all there and as sharp as a sharp thing.
I think a 20-24mp sensor will come though.
They aren't even trying, they know where there target audience is.
You can hardly accuse Fuji of taking their time. They have built some great cameras but far more importantly some of the best lenses around and all this in a very, very short period of time.
The xpro 2 will come early next year and that makes sense.
I actually want them to slow down development as I spend too much money on Fuji X gear

'Derriere La Gare St Lazare' by Cartier Bresson was quite a savage crop. Did he need to improve his technique?
