Well he clearly says the police told him details about the 'pervert' that are in clear breach of the law. So we either believe that the copper broke the law, or the violent small minded arse is also a liar. Whilst I haven't got the greatest respect for our boys in blue, I'm inclined to believe the latter.
So no evidence then. Cops have been known to reveal more than they should before. If we are talking about witch hunts and facts etc, none of us here have any regarding this case.

which the monster presumably photographed, yet the police (having examined the pictures) accepted his defence of:
"Two cops spoke with him and looked at the pics, his statement was these are beach pictures with beach views!"
If that story is true - I will show my arse in the co-op window. It simply doesn't add up.
More likely scenario; thug see's 'obvious P****' calls police who 'have a word' and decide the guy's done nothing wrong, when the thug presses the cops they make some noises about how they'll be looking into it further, and when he's pressed them for more they've explained he's actually broken no laws (so the P**** is free to do what he wants
). If they'd found pictures of kids with no pants on they'd definitely have arrested him. And presumably they've seen the contents of his camera, so he's volunteered that evidence. Again, based on the hundreds of stories of photographer / police encounters on the web, they'd have taken him in if he'd refused. Particularly given he's been accused of an actual crime by a bystander.

It's not impossible as coppers can be idiots. In the past I've had coppers read out my name and address in a loud voice in the street in front of "the accused" and coppers once gave my name and address to a thug I'd had a violent confrontation with, their reason being that they wanted him to avoid my address

FB = *****. I saw part of a video of a group of men kicking the crap out of a women. I reported it and received a response 'it doesn't violate their policy on violence' of words to that effect.
Ain't been on since, and feel, quite soon that interest will wane and, like MySpace, it will become a has been site.

I would also add, that this is how certain people behave to a simple difference of opinion, argument or maybe a misconstrued look or word.
The UK seems to be full of people wanting to "kick off" at the slightest excuse.

I was shown this post the other day and thought the guy was just an idiot trying to act big about phoning the police on someone and the comments might be more balanced. Then I saw they were just as bad as his post. Still though I tried to convince myself since I do a lot of street photography and have been to Seaburn doing it not too long ago that it was a small group of his idiot friends commenting. Then you see the shares, couldn't believe it had over 2300 shares. Most of which had the same kinda crap about this guy automatically being a p*** and trying to find out who he is to beat him up. It does actually put me off and I feel sorry for the guy with the camera.
Now it seems if you photograph a kid your a p*** and a woman your a pervert. Its really sad people are so small minded.

Its this kind of retarded behaviour, that has changed the way I go about taking pictures. Have sold my 70-200 as it made me feel uncomfortable in public, and 80% of the time my wife is with me when shooting.

I am glad my Manfrotto Monopod is a slighty slimmed down scaffolding pole and I still remember my Kendo training. Not sure how many Zombie Retards I could defend myself against. Perhaps we need a 70-200mm f/2.8 IS with optional short narrel 12 Bore accessory ... with additional shells that spawl on impact.
BTW the simple act of taking a photo lies in thr P mode. Real Photographers go "creative zone" whilst Radical Hard-Core photographers go Manual ;-)
