Ahh well, not to worry. It just makes things more interesting. I had something similar, Canon A30. Those cameras are pretty good, considering the poor spec.Just deleted some pics - messing up the 'G' thread again - sorry
They were taken with a Powershot though (A610)![]()
I would only sell it to someone would love it and look after it. Not someone who would keep it for a couple of weeks, and then want to change it for summit else. It's obviously a crap camera. I think you would be better off selling it. How much do you want![]()
Markiii?Got a G1x on e infinity for about £700 a few months ago....sure the G7 and G5 would also be a lot cheaper.......
Markiii?
Been tinkering with the G7X in the garden, on a cold frosty morning. Trying to photo the birds in the trees. I never ever use digital zoom for day to day photos, but the birds were pretty high up in the trees. I just wanted to see what they were, so I used the 17X digital zoom. Not sure what the 17X equates to, maybe 17X max zoom perhaps. Anyway, looking at the images now, and they look pretty crap. I would not bother using it again.
Yes, it was using the standard option. This gives the 17X zoom. I very rarely use it anyway, as it is only available in Jpeg, which I only use for street plinking anyway. Most of the time I am in RAW, and the digital zoom option is not available then. Was it using this.....( these are the options on aG1X)
Looks like an extender effect rather than zoom....?
Was it grainy or out of focus or both....?

It would be great if you could get it for that price. As I was just looking on Wilkinson cameras, and they have the G7X for £569.99 and £40 cashback.G7X ii £449 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
But I think Jessops have made a mistake - cashback is £40 not £80!
I wonder if Jessops gives the other £40, taking the whole cashback up to £80?OK - The cashback is £80 for Black Friday week by the look of it.

So, are we getting one?I do![]()
Good thinking, I would never have thought of that.Just a note if someone is going to buy one - get it direct from the Canon UK store. Cashback will be added at checkout and there will be a 2 year warranty.
YesWhat, a Canon G7X mk11?
The G7X does have continuous high speed shooting, been using it and it seems OK. Probably not too good for BIF, due to the limited focal length.Unless one was wanting to shoot a specific type of shot that the G7 wasn’t suitable for,ie sport birds in flight etc it is quite likely as much as anyone would need.
Other than personal handling of course and wether a EVF is important.
