Fair play, I would only order from a reputable source anyway with something like that anyway so I will see what UHS-II I can find at a decent price/ speed. ThanksSD cards are backwards compatible. Just get a decent UHS-II for transfer speeds and future compatibility. Also recommend getting them from somewhere with a decent returns policy in case they play up with compatibility.
If I had known someone would just give me one I would have waitedIf you had waited you could have had my a7riv, just getting ready to sell it.
Seriously though I doubt I would have been able to afford the iv even if you priced it way below market value. The mk2 I ordered is boxed mint <6000 shutter actuations with the Sony grip and 8 batteries for £600 which was my upper limit really.
Once I've checked it I have a little bit left over for some adapters for my vintage lenses and a SD card after which I'm sure the missus will kill me for spending even that much. Hopefully she will let me take a few pics with it first...

You might very well be right as I'm not positive it isn't compatible, just what one person mentioned in another forum. Hence my confusion.Sorry, didn't realise the R2 wasn't UHS-II compatible.
I'm gonna try a UHS-II and see what happens, the worst that can happen is I have to return it.
