As long as you know the limitations, the electronic shutter is certainly not "useless" as some have made out.
Not some, only I have said its useless.
Do you really believe I don't know the limitations of the camera bodies I own and use every day?
Even though I shoot over a million fames a year as does my missus and over the last lot of years have owned 4 x A7III's, 3 x A7IV's, 2 x A7RIV's, 1x A7RIII and an A6400 and that is not counting the bodies we have had over that same time frame that have a usable electronic shutter,
Don't want to sound like a t*** and I never blow my own trumpet in terms of my capabilities as a photographer, but as you seem to be disputing my knowledge level, I have been a full time professional wedding photographer for 8 years and before that owned a reasonably successful portrait studio for two years along with a commercial photography business that employed 2 other people.
Again don't want to sound like a complete t*** but since 2017 (that is when I won my first one), I have won 21 different awards for my photography work. My photographs have been featured in over 100 different wedding blogs worldwide, my photography work has been featured in hundreds of magazines on multiple occasions. I have been interviewed by the B.B.C, U.T.V (the N.I version of I.T.V), and 2 of the local radio stations in Northern Ireland when they needed to speak to a photographer with expertise. I have also had photographs printed in several newspapers on multiple occasions including The Times, The Sun, The Daily Mirror, and pretty much every local newspaper in N.I. Both Belfast and Lisburn council areas in Northern Ireland have displayed my photography work in art exhibitions that included submissions from all over the world. Images I have taken have been purchased and used in advertising campaigns by Coca-Cola, Marks & Spencer, Allied Irish Bank, The Ulster Bank, The Hastings Hotel group, and S.S.E Airtricity and those are some of the largest businesses in Northern Ireland.
@f/1.4 can confirm that I am not making any of that up because he knows who I am in real life.
My wedding photography businesses is a recognised brand in Northern Ireland, we are one of the busiest wedding photographers in the country, I would never say best because that wouldn't be true as we have some exceptional wedding photographers here, but we certainly operate at a decent level.
I have never once until now "blown my own trumpet" on this forum in terms of my own perceived personal achievements but you can be assured that I do have the experience level to know the capabilities and limitations of the equipment we use. I would guess that only a small percentage of photographers on this forum have my experience level. I would also guess that only a few of those would have owned and used as many Sony camera bodies as I have.
