The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Sorry, it was sarcasm - the list does not seem favourable, Drax.

There's other niggles not listed on that site, like only 3-axis stabilization for non native lenses, no touch screen focus when your eye is to the evf, there's some lag when using live view LCD to shift focus points - I've seen up to almost a second delay on some of the previews - Nikon flashes lose the AF assist grid light

I think if I get a Sony I just might put this thread on ignore.

Good to have a break! Think I had like 7 people on my ignore list once... mainly to stop myself getting banned

Why would you put a Sony thread on ignore if you buy a Sony
I've never put anyone on ignore but I'm sure plenty have me on theirs though.

To stop the gas

AH right, I see. I think you'll get it no matter, it's how we're built, many of us who get into anything gear related just cannot help it. I mean, why am I in here? :D I kinda fancy trying a Sony, but then I'm also dipping into the Canon threads because I've not ever tried them yet, and I still peep into the Fuji and Nikon threads to what's up as I still miss their gear now and again. If I had money I'd probably have all systems on the go

I’m putting you on ignore,no money here, anyway you and Raymond know each other from Overclockers,a forum I’ve not used for quite a while ,are you guys still posting there

In your dreams. Sony just made a camera worth switching to and I've been using Sony since you were in diapers anyway, don't you remember how I convinced you to buy your a7s? ;)

I thought you were British? ;)

The Sony A7 III is a great package for the price, no doubt Sony will attract even more customers following the Nikon Z announcements.

I think Sony still have room for further FE lenses:-

FE 24-70mm f4
FE 500mm GM
FE 600mm GM
FE 200-500mm G
FE 135mm 1.8 GM
FE 24mm 1.4 GM
FE 105mm 2.8 GM
FE 35mm f1.2 GM
FE 35mm f1.8
FE 50mm f1.2 GM
FE 85mm f1.2 GM

For me...
A compact 20mm f1.8/2.
A compact 24mm f1.8/2.
A compact 35mm f1.8. Get on with it Sony!
A decent 50mm f2.8 macro.
And if I was going mad a 150mm f2.8 macro.
I think they already do a wide zoom. I liked my Sigma 12-24mm.

I'm still impressed with the 85mm f1.8 :D

Hi folks I have a Question about my A73, when I turn the camera to shoot in the vertical position it always reverts to the central focus point no matter where I have placed it this happens with different lenses
and whether or not I am using the vertical grip, is this normal or is there a problem with my camera?, my apologies if this has been covered before but I haven't been able to find anything on the subject.

Horizontal and vertical allows you to use different settings in each. Pretty cool.

Thats the point I'm trying to make, I'm unable to move my focus point when holding the camera vertical it always reverts to the centre point.

Mrs WW seems to be addicted to brambles.

We started with bramble pies and have graduated to bramble juice, bramble jam, bramble smoothines and yesterday we had bramble ice cream and it was lovely :D Soon I think we'll be wearing bramble clothes and living in a bramble house.

A7, 85mm f1.8 at f4.5, Mrs WW and brambles...
