I have gotten better recently though, I have stopped swapping bodies generally speaking. i have no plans to upgrade my A7RII unless I come across a really good deal on A7RIII which is unlikely. I still swap lenses regularly though that is purely because I can't afford to keep many lenses and things I shoot changes.

I am more a lens person than a body person, I get excited more by a fast prime than 30fps.

Eye-focus AF is the first piece of technology that really got me interested enough to try something else.

Eye-AF is certainly my most used feature these days. I am also attracted by fast glass more recently. Trying to buy a Zeiss 35mm/1.4 :D

I'd love to own the canon 85mm f1.2 one day but currently I can't put it to good use. I need something that focuses fast, so am sticking with 85mm f1.8.

But what he implied was that the other mounts won't have those functions. Not that they may be slower.

Mine have equally been through several amps - currently running through a Beresford 2ch switching unit, so I’m able to use the same speakers to run my 7.1 Sony AV amp and at the same time, switch to my Arcam Stereo amp running the Pro-ject turntable. Works a treat, if that’s something that would be of use to you!

I didn’t mean it imply that way as I know all functions work via adaptor since I have the adaptor and have a Sigma Art 50. It wouldn’t be logical for me to think it wouldn’t work for the 105.
 
Had a good play with the Sony A7 III today, it’s seriously impressive for the price. :)

Menus are complex. Honestly not sure how I want this set up yet. I’ve always back button focused - with face/eye af, will that change? Secondly, the 35 1.4 is wayyyy heavier than the Zeiss 2.8. Didn’t realise it would be quite so big!

Won’t get a proper spin until I take it out tomorrow.

Aluminium base with a built in Arca Swiss compatible plate. Enough space for my fingers to go between the lens, even a 50/1.4, battery door opens, enough height for my pinky. Tile screen opens easily. The only downside is access to the micro USB and USB-C flap is a little restricted. I can get to the USB-C but not the micro USB. Not a problem as I can still charge via USB-C anyway. Not a design flaw as it was designed for the A9, not A7III, it just happens to fit.

Job done, pinky problem solved.
