The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Not for me. At least with the Sony I can customise my buttons and layout to suit my shooting style. Couldn’t do that with my Nikon. I’ve got U1/U2 buttons. Works better for me. I guess if you’re moving from another system there will be an adjustment, no two systems are gonna be the same!
as I say each to there own but I found the size and shape wrong for me so button customization didn't really come into it. the buttons didn't fall anywhere near the correct spots for my use ether , and the front dial I found a pig to use. bit like anything, nothing works well for everyone.

Errr less

Its like brand new :D

I did see the description, boxed etc. Good price. I hesitated the night before but at least one of us here got it. :)

I spent far too much this last few weeks anyway with a A73, a 50/1.4 and a Wotancraft. Need to let my piggy bank recover before raiding again.

Really tempted by the 50 but its to close to 35 and 85 to be spending another 1k+. Maybe in a couple months.

Well....if only I saw the 35 the weekend before first lol but then last weekend I was happy adapting my Canon so thought if i were to get one to cover both I’ll get the 50.

Do you think you're going to go completely native?

@shotokan101 - just for your pixel peeping needs :) - this is not necessarily a 1:1 macro though

Had to help neighbour with fence earlier, just as I was about to do some macro - so stopped after this one shot.

Hand held my AD600 + on camera flash, lighting didn't come out too badly - but wasn't a particularly interesting subject

However here's a near 100% crop, file turned out to be 1027 x 1027 - here it is in 1024 x 1024

 Assuming that's a 1:1 crop, any link to the original?
Just found the DPR page with this discussion. I can't believe there's so many people that are 'defending' it saying that there are software programs to 'mask' the problem. If I was the kind of person that shot a lot of backlit shots I'd be pretty p****d off if I'd dropped £2k on a camera and then had to use a software program to 'cover up' image flaws

Tbh I don't care if they mask it in software but I'm not going to take the time to fix it. The software needs to do it automatically.

I’ve not come across any of this yet and prob won’t in my kind of shooting

I’d be surprised if adobe release an automatic fix to either LR or PS tbh.
