If your there Monday we could meet up
Anyone going to the NEC photography show,
But they said they be making e mount lenses from the ground up else if they simply slapped on a built-in mc 11.they would have released e mount lenses ages ago
Kool, keep in touchI'm planning to go on the Monday to do an interview about my Chroma camera but not sorted out that day off yet!
Apparently there will 9 lenses released from 14mm to 135mm according to SAR.
Again sound like sigma art primes with adapters permanently stuck on... But I guess we'll find out soon
Although to add:

There is some hint that some of these ART lenses MIGHT be newly designed for Sony FE. These would be the 35mm, 14mm and 24-70 f/2.8 zoom lens!
35 and 14 would be good but the Sigma Art 24-70 seems to have very mixed reviews on DSLR so I'm not sure I'd be rushing at that.
Does anyone know if when buying a used Sony camera Sony still honour the recall issues?
Thinking of going for a second hand a9 and right now there's a recall for the hotshoe
Just looked at your sig wow a nice set up you got thereI’ve bought and sold a few Sony bodies with extended warranties, I just transferred ownership to the next owner.
Are you able to get the original owner to do this?

No extended warranty on the one I have seen....Is Sony's warranty transferable?
Decided not to go and instead go to photokinaI'm planning to go on the Monday to do an interview about my Chroma camera but not sorted out that day off yet!

Exciting times for Sony users really. New lenses to wet everyone's pants. From sigma art lenses to 400mm F2.8 lenses. Once the 600mm comes out it's game set match

If canikon start with a brand new mount. It's also game set match for Sony and that I'm worried about. Need competitions and reasons for some of you lot to chop and change every week hehe
Would love to. I've wanted a trip to London for years to do the museums and galleries etc but getting free time is very difficult. On a serious note. Would anyone be interested in doing a photo walk together in london? Around summer time.
Appears to be confirmed that the "FE" Art lenses are just DSLR lenses with a permanent adaptor (14mm and 35mm included) - leaked pics here

Lol.... another inch on the humongous 85.The size of that 85mm lol
If true - Dreadful. IMO.
I did hope that Sigma were going to do new designs but feared they'd do this.
Why are people getting upset with the size? Like I said. The gm lenses are the same ie it has some sort of tube in them. You can't beat physics.Appears to be confirmed that the "FE" Art lenses are just DSLR lenses with a permanent adaptor (14mm and 35mm included) - leaked pics here

Mirrorless has evf and no blackout. Huge advantages. The thing is. How can you physically design a 1.4 lens to be tiny? ImpossibleThey take away from the whole advantage of mirrorless. Make me want a D750 even more.
As I was saying the new canon 85mm/1.4 L is the same size as 85mm GM. So Sony still has the ~25mm-ish flange distance advantage which is completely lost with this.Mirrorless has evf and no blackout. Huge advantages. The thing is. How can you physically design a 1.4 lens to be tiny? Impossible

True but just whacking an adapter on an bonding it to a body is a bit lazy isn't it. They should have completely redesigned the lenses.
EVF - true, great on newer models and X-T2 but I'm not a huge fan on A7 + a7ii
