x2 for FL and aperture effect.
Just to add, i had the Oly e-m10 and was pleasantly surprised by the ISO performance. It was far better than my previous D7000 and D7100.
Rookie for the money id get the 70-300 FE rather than the 70-200....
Anyone here with the Sony 50mm 1.8 I e been reading up on it on how it fair with the 55mm but it about £300 cheaper
Was that cropped?
But on a a7rii [emoji6]
Correct but its not just the high mega pixel count that matters for big cropping, you need a optically sharp lens to deliver the goods..... for example..... a heavy crop on the 70-200mm @ 200mm may still be noticeably sharper than the 70-300mm @ 300mm (native).Surely it depends how big the final image needs to be, my old G1 gives lovely 100% crops and my A7 does too but bigger![]()

Experiments with Sigma MC-11 continue.
Another shoot done, this time in Leeds, UK
Sony A7RII + Sigma MC-11 + Canon EF 24-70 F/2.8L II - This combination is razor sharp (sometimes the focus is not very fast, especially in low light)

Yes me I have the none IS F4 and yes it's very sharp, focus is fine as long as you stick to .47 or .48 firmware on metabones don't do .49 or it locks the camera, well it did on the a7rii unsure of a7ii but prob same deal...nice cheap lensThere's a lot of talk using the Sony 70-200 f4 on the A7ii. Anyone used the Canon 70-200 f4 with adapter on the A7ii. Im so tempted at £300 used, im nervous about the focus speed. Apparently the lens is very sharp.
Pendeen Lighthouse in mist, taken from Geevor Tin Mine, Cornwall by David Black, on FlickrPopped out to West Cornwall yesterday with the camera. By the time we got their, a thick mist was covering everything, so we decided to play tourist and visit Geevor Tin Mine.
Then the mist started to lift...

Shocking weather this morning in central london. I was gonna cycle to work....

You're not the only one suffering poor weather. It's like a winters day here, it's cold and we had the heating on this morning, it's windy and there's wet in the air and I can't even see the hills. There's just flat light and no sky just an endless grey nothingness. Anyone thinking this it atmospheric and would make a good photo wants to try living with this day afer day afer day after day. I was hoping for half a day free this week but if it stays like this I wont bother even thinking about a few hours out with my camera as I have any number of pictures taken on days like this.Shocking weather this morning in central london.
