Yep its under ndc but there is a significant rumour building.........
I'm not sure yet if it is a full frame alternative it maybe aspc etc will know within the next 24hours
yeah might possibly be mate I cant determine yet but should know by later this eveningI think your right about the original a7 being cheap enough a new budget full frame would have to be at a very low price point to make sense and then its not really a option I wouldn't have thought
Release more lenses. 100-600mm range please
There's loads of cheap lenses. 55 28 35. Whats missing bro?Release cheaper lenses to go with the cheaper cameras. Not everyone wants to pay silly Zeiss or GMaster money.

What would you like to he released? That is loads, my mistake. We have a £520 slow 35mm, a very good 55mm but its £620 and the only lens there that is what I said Sony needs is the 28 F2, which is reasonable at £299. And you ask whats missing![]()

In reply to your DPreview post, play with them all before you go away and see what you prefer, for me id use a Zoom and not change the lens due to the dust magnet LOL...Thoughts on the new batis 85mm?

a shot of my gf i done on sunday
Brilliant fair enough lads. I agree fully!^^ Beat me to it!
I think he's already said. More realistically priced FF lenses such as a 50/1.8 that competes with CaNikon along with a 35/1.8 and maybe an 85/1.8. Paying £620 for a 55mm 1.8 is bordering on ridiculous no matter how good it is. I've got the APSC 50/1.8 on my A6K and results it delivers are excellent and that's nearer £100!
Not everyone is loaded so will spend nearly £1k on what should be bread and butter focal lengths.

Which 24-70 zoom the new 2.8 or the old F4 ?

I think it does if they can get the manufacturing cost down enough. Currently the original A7 is sitting in the budget position and I'm not sure how much it costs to make, but if they designed a genuinely low end body (maybe even as extreme as an a5000 style body) they could probably knock £100-150 off the price and have a full frame camera out there for half the price of anyone else while still making money on it. Who knows what they'll do lately, they seem to have plugged most of their leaks. It doesnt make sense to release an even lesser model, if its an A7iii it will drive the A7 and A7ii price down, so they are effectively creating the "A5" market (while stocks last).
Yes they could but the main problem is Sony aren't making any low-end "budget" lenses to go with the cheaper bodies.I think it does if they can get the manufacturing cost down enough. True, but a lot of people don't look at lens prices before buying a camera. All part of Son'y evil plan!Yes they could but the main problem is Sony aren't making any low-end "budget" lenses to go with the cheaper bodies.
I'm guessing this is what is under the ndc![]()
I better sell the metabones @jonneymendoza
Even just for sigma lenses that is a big thing. Art users can rejoice thenThink this only works with Sigma lenses at present? I haven't seen anything to suggest it has firmware supporting Canon L glass anyway. If it does then it's really interesting.
yep sigma art 35 and 50m owner here for just the art if it works with all the focus options well on independent reviews I will purchase
Took a few shots today with my Batis 85mm, really impressed by the output, doubt I will go for the 85mm GM![]()
I've had the Batis on order since the beginning of the year, was thinking of cancelling the order as some have been waiting since last year but both mine came in less than 2 months.Had you actually considered buying the Batis then buying the GM as well to replace it?
That is BIG. Pretty obvious that this would be the case - little reason for Sigma to develop it unless they were doing something special with their own lenses - but awesome to see it confirmed. This is big news and no wonder why sigma aint releasing any E mount lenses
