That youre wrong, no, that hasnt escaped me or the OP. I knew exactly what he was asking because I know what gear he uses so replied to HIM with a reply he would understand immediately instead of telling him what the letters mean.

I will just leave this here.

You're know to be the pedantic one, who loves to point out the obvious, thought i would cheer myself up this morning.

How by providing the OP with more questions than useful answers? Well done. The reply was targeted at the OP so he understood exactly what I meant and hes already stated that, your reply on the other hand was useless to him. Glad you cheered yourself up.

Does the 35mm f2.8 lens focus fast?

Yes its not bad at all, its just a very convenient lens, good to great IQ and focusing but its size is what makes it for me. If there was a 1.8 version only slightly bigger i would be tempted but i reckon it would be a fair bit bigger. Loxia is a good lens if you want small but brighter, no AF though.

Is this a Sony 35mm 2.8 can't find it

Sensor cleaned, had a right stubborn stain at bottom had to use lens brush on area, Last time i use an air blower in a can, as it spat s*** onto the sensor.

Just ordered some Visible lens liquid as the stuff you get is about 4 drips and its gone and also not great on oily stains. the stuff i ordered is for the more stubborn oily stuff. Red lid

Shouldnt use a brush on the sensor mate. Just do multiple passes with the wet clean kit. Also look at investing in a sensorklear, they work well for pollen in summer.

So these A7 get dust easy then. Never had any on any my cameras far I remember

I've found that all my mirrorless cameras have been much less affected by contamination on the sensor than any of my DSLR's. Despite doing many more lens changes with the CSC's.

Its not a brush its the Lenspen sensor clear, don't worry i only used proper Visible dust pabs and this on the mark, all gone now clean as a whistle. Can still see a slight oily hue but tomorrow i,ll run a pass of that Red liquid and it should be fine then...

To be honest the photos are perfect and i think I'm being obsessed with it now. its gonna get mucky period so if the pictures are fine i may as well not tempt fate... Dusts the main culprit a very slight oily hue wont effect it

Guys, the more I look and read reviews the more I get confused.

I have a crop frame dslr. I want to move on to mirrorless. But I want Ff as well since I'm going to do the jump I might as well invest on something that is worth at a long term.

I'm not a professional photographer so I mainly use it as a hobbie.

Do you guys recommend me the a7rII? Or do you reckon the prices a going to drop on the next months?

Btw apparently there's a new a6100 coming out

If anyone wants a bargain for canon metabones I just got a 50mm samyang 1.4 for £166 delivered off amazon.... selling for 300 ish everywhere else.... just took delivery I know it manual focus etc etc but it's top quality !

Why not buy the A7ii and see how you get on before thinking about spending more than double on the A7rII....?

Maybe you could have a think about what you do with your pictures, do you print and if so how big? Do you mostly view on screen? Do you crop? etc... Thinking might help you decide what you need...

There's a comparison here between printed A7II and A7rII shots...

http://admiringlight.com/blog/sony-a7r-ii-vs-a7-ii-print-test/

I think I must have low standards as I've found 8mp enough for A3 prints :D and one of the worst cameras I've ever had (a very cheap Medion compact) made great A4 prints :D

If you crop a lot the extra mp on a7rii will come in handy.

What's it like on the camera? From what I've seen some of the Samyang's seem to be a bit big.

I expect it'll perform better than my old manual 50mm f1.4's.

Go for it i,ll spend your money, but FYI if your new the the A7II will do you, however Myself and my Dad have between us both and you definitely tell the sharpness is better on the A7RII but is it worth you spending double ? only you can decide that..

i got a bargain at 1999.99 so i jumped early but 2600 does make you think.

As for price i doubt sony will lower there flagship price unless something betters it

Historically, Sony camera prices drop pretty quickly, most CSCs dont hold value so its not just them.

Very true, however Sony could make the new model cycle slightly longer rather than releasing a new model every year.
Imagine buying the Sony A7RII then a year later it's worth 50% of its value plus the version III is out.
A 3 year cycle would be much bearable, similar to what Canon / Nikon do with their high end bodies.
Needless to say, I've pulled the trigger. :)

i know if he hunts about he can get it for 1890 Grey...

oo and FYI all ive just orcered the Canon MPE 65 MM Macro and Slide... lets the 5x Macro begin..

Will post some pics up later really happy with it though especially for that price blows the canon 1.4 away imho if u can manual focus

not on any of the sites I looked at before buying ;-) but that's cool its a cracking lens regardless tbh
