The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

So this is the issue with Sonys early colour science, note the improvement.... its mostly noticeable in low light and especially with AWB. Their skin tones sucked but way better now. Its not always easy to correct for it as you change the hue/tones in the rest of the image, takes time to fix when masking.

Thos A7 ones are horrendous

Canon is still the best... I agree my A7RII is better than A7 but that's hardly a glorifying praise.

May be I should just buy a canon and glue 85mm/1.2 on to it and be happy...
I think on the whole the D750 is more accurate, Canon like to go for that warm fuzzy feeling ;)

I believe that Sony's colour science is now on par with Canon from bodies released and including the Sony A9 onwards. :D

A7RIII is same as A9?

If they have fixed their colour science that's almost a good enough reason for me to upgrade.

Yes, I think the Sony A7R III colour science is like the Sony A9's. :)

Think Im might just go and get a Samsung S9 that been rated highly for it camera

With regards to skin tones etc will something like the x-rite colour checker passport help get accurate results every time?

Not really compact but badass IQ. Check out Dan cooks work with it. Seriously nice IQ. Want one.

Compact v a DSLR but your right. It's amazing, I think I might keep it. Might be time for me to move to a twt camera setup.
