Schumi to retire again, pity would have liked to see him in a sauber
The CEO of cvc next?? It looks like the chips are stacking against Bernie mindst he is a canny old devil

Nah! STR are far too good for a Scummy drive!

Hammy and Bernie are fairly obvious contractions of Hamilton and Bernard Charles Ecclestone but monty numpty is a new one on me, although it didn't need all my undoubted genius to figure it out! Personally, I generally refer to him as Montezuma as in full of brown, smelly stuff, often seen emerging from the rectum of intact male cattle!

Looking forward to how the Macs will go in suzuka now Hammy is free of all inner torments although the new test on front wings might just stop theirs tilting back at speed and slow it up a bit

What? No comments yet on this mornings race. Did nobody else get upto watch it as it happened?
Cracking third place drive for ............................. (Don't want to spoil it for those who may not want to know)

Ive only got poor mans tele
Wasn't the saubers fast for a little? team even with perez trying too hard
Race on now although its for ferrari to lose
Kimi the reliable move over keep out of trouble and take the points
Not a race for the Massa bashers, now its all massa for ferrari. How fickle people are
Grojean looking forward to lap 1 at Korea hoho

Very good to see the 3rd place man on that particular podium.

Good to see the 2nd place man back up there too!

Even better to see his team-mate crash himself out and scoring nil points!

I dont think fred managed it by himself, Kimi gave him a helping gurney flap
Luck has a habit of running out eventually

You all thought Vettel won it, but guess who was on the podium ready to lift the trophy?

Yep Mr J Terry. Sorry had 5 mins of playing around with photoshop this afternoon, and given the parodies he has featured in, thought I would join in.

Teflonso was weaving all over the place, not to defend his position - that's not permitted - but to try to intimidate his former teammate. Kimi had nowhere to go and I doubt FA even knew he was there!

I don't get why Grosjean is a target for all the driver's bitching, Maldonado has done far worse and has used his car as a weapon on occasions, but Grosjean gets caught up in a few first lap incidents and suddenly there are calls for him to be banned. He's got great potential (his qualifying performance shows he has pace!) but just needs to be a bit more careful in the opening laps though I would argue Webber was a bit slow through that corner...

Webber's fault? If not it was Grosjean's fault. In which case he's an idiot.

The stewards, who have more telemitry, images and dare I say experiance have dumped it on Grosjean
Not to mention he is high on the list for disscusion by the GPDA (gp drivers association) at their next meeting

He does seem to be in a hurry to get the first two corners behind him
With the pace of the Saubers isnt it a pity schui didnt hang on and race with them next year They are fast becoming the third if not second fastest team certainly out running mercedes

8 incidents this season within the opening laps tells it's own story, that's far too many especially when there is still 5 races to go (unless of course you happen to race in the BTCC, in which case 8 incidents is the usual number for a single race).

The frightening thing with Grosjean is that the majority of the accidents are caused by his lack of awareness, impatience or complete brain fade. There's no doubt he has pace, however he's driving at 11/10ths on the first lap. If he just stops trying to win it on the first lap these incidents will be reduced dramatically.

I see you have Wheldon's image as your avatar Scott. Next week will see the first anniversary of that horrific crash.

I see hammy's been burbling on twitter again
Maybe his skill on twitter is what he is going to share with Mercedes it cant be his skill on car setup if the last race is anything to go on

Yep, can't believe it's been a year since that race.

I was lucky enough to speak to him a few years back now, if I remind correctly it was before the season started in which he won his first Indy 500 which would be 2005???? (and now I feel old) and it's one of my regrets that I didn't get his autograph at the time...was too busy asking him questions about Dario, TK, racing ovals and about his chances that season.

To be fair he could have just gave me one sentence answers to them, especially on TK and Dario but he waxed lyrical about those guys, told me he was confident about the season ahead and told me to back him for the 500...which I did, a nice £100+ win from the bookies.

Mercedes PR are going to have their hands full next season

Although Jenson does follows more or less everyone oin F1 who is on twitter apart from Lewis and Fernando.....

...ok, really getting sick and tired of Hamilton's post race interview attitude! He seems to be completely unwilling to comment on anything. What's with that?

I agree, his entire attitude is seemingly about looking to be as unhelpful, and unapproachable as possible. Sooner he heads to Mercedes the better for me :)

Given their ongoing rear tyre life issues and his rear tyre thrashing driving style I can see some top quality strops next season

Felt for Button and Rosberg though, Kobayashi was completely our of control and ended two drivers races. Admittedly it was unlikely to have altered the end result, but a drive through penalty seemed somewhat of a let off to me.

Reports that Vettel has signed for Ferrari from 2014 onwards.

Great signing for Ferrari, not sure why you'd want to leave Red Bull at present, unless you take Adrian Newey with you.
Could be interesting as Alonso doesn't like threatening drivers. He always builds the team around him and does his best to undermine the other side of the garage.

Would you be in a good mood & have lots to say after 3 mechanical failures in a row?

Every time he says anything negative he gets jumped on so it seems to me he's just finally learning to keep his mouth shut.

It's not just after failures, it's after anything.

This has been around for a while I cant understand why a potential three times champion (if this season goes the way its heading) wants to leave to a team that isnt renown for its inovations and then there is this from
Monty numpty
Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said he wanted to avoid a problem with rivalries, regardless of who was driving: "2014 is still to come but I don't want to have two roosters in the same henhouse, rather two drivers who race for Ferrari and not for themselves.

Alonso and Vettel ????
Do you think Alonso would like to be sebs wing man
If Webber wasnt retiring (or threatning to in 2013) he would be the perfect choice
As for hammy not saying much
He isnt going to say too many good things about the team he is leaving nor is he going to say too many bad things about a team he may well want to come back to
Maybe his management has sent him on a brain to mouth /texting fingers course

Can't help but feel the penalty would've been harsher if it had been Grosjean... Comparing first lap incident from this race to Japan's: take one car out - get a stop-go penalty, take two cars out - get a drive through when it really doesn't make a difference to your race. The penalties are just so inconsistent. Really irritates me.

Just been listenning to Murray Walkers summing up of Mr Schmachers career as part of his 20 Greatest F1 drivers series.

The list so far has Schmacher at no4 then

Number 5 - Alain Prost
Number 6 - Sir Stirling Moss
Number 7 - Sir Jackie Stewart
Number 8 - Sebastian Vettel
Number 9 - Niki Lauda
Number 10 - Fernando Alonso
Number 11 - Alberto Ascari
Number 12 - Gilles Villeneuve
Number 13 - Nigel Mansell
Number 14 - Mika Hakkinen
Number 15 - Lewis Hamilton
Number 16 - Nelson Piquet
Number 17 - Emerson Fittipaldi
Number 18 - Jack Brabham
Number 19 - Graham Hill
Number 20 - Jochen Rindt

So who is going to be in the top 3?.

The only glaring omissions are Fangio and Jim Clark (both of whom I think MW is a big fan?) any other thoughts?? I'm struggling.

David

Another (beside Schumacher) to be a direct cause of regulation changes to reduce unsporting behaviour on the track!
