Lots of tires for the race etc, I could easily see Alonso taking the win. I think only a Vettel early lead and running off in to an un-catchable lead could change that.

Lotus should bear a close look tomorrow even from 10th
Kimi was fast in Q1 when it was dry
Their new drs activated loss/gain of downforce device will be in operation in Hungary

Just a "heads up".

Sky F1 is free to watch this w/end. I don't find it that good but as BBC are highlights only.....

sky coverage is pretty good, good technical info too.

should be a good race, a few guys out of position!

Perez is down 5 places for blocking kimmi and Alonso
That moves grosjean and rosberg plus Massa up one

Just read a report saying that Red Bull are being investigated by the stewards regarding possible illegal engine mapping. If found guilty they would be disqualified from qualifying and start from the back of the grid, though they could appeal a guilty verdict and start from their original positions.

The reporter also goes on to say that the fact that the FIA are doing this in such a public manner suggests that they feel there's a strong case against RB Racing

Red Bull under investigations. The FIA have referred them to the race stewards.

No action to be taken, doesn't contravene regs.

Do you have a link for this?:)

No, sorry. Ted Kravitz announced it and showed the letter issued by the stewards. I'm watching it live on SkyF1 as pointed out earlier it's free this weekend, so if you have sky, switch it on.

Ross Brawn told Brundle the decision by stewards won't be the end of it. Dereck Warwick said the same.

I put all my winnings from yesterday on a podium finish for Hamilton......fingers crossed!! :D

Could be a nice little win for you there. They were certainly going well in dry conditions and I understand they're predicting a dry race.:)

Fair enough...thanks for replying. We don't have Sky sadly so I'll be watching the highlights later.

Yup, just read a blog stating the same thing basically. The rules need to be rewritten to prevent them being broken in spirit if that's what the FIA want.

Until that happens the other teams will of course be developing their own version (assuming others don't already have...eg. Williams, Lotus & Caterham are all Renault powered ?) On second thoughts, I guess Ross Brawn could be referring to further appeals/legal action

Interesting to see if they let Vettel keep that one.....

So you can overtake off the track (Vettel) and regularly drive off it as part of your normal racing line each lap (Alonso).

Let's just forget the rules (or only apply them to the drivers who Jean Todt likes) and play bumper cars eh? F1 is getting worse and worse for selective viewing of what's happening.

Cars have been going off the track there all weekend , all of a sudden vettle overtakes Button and it's deemed wrong . More reasons to turn off when F1 comes on ,so disappointing

Completely different situations, cars going wide and cars overtaking off track....if you can't see that then maybe turning it off is the best idea :)

We're you listening to the post race discussion ?

I will put money on the engine mapping by red bull will alter before Hungary
As the stewards and the fia aren't happy with the way the rule has been exploited
Clever red bull but the pedal to the metal will be 100% torque next race I cant see the door being left open for the rest of the pack
That red bull has sounded the odd one out from day one
There was no difference of what Vettal did to button than mad Mal did to hammy except they didn't crash Same move Same punishment
And had vettal kept running wide and was deemed to be gaining an advantage I am sure he would have been punished / reprimanded He was being watched

I may have read this wrong but Vettal was punished 20's penalty so he went to 5th button took 2nd.???

That's correct. Button promoted to 2nd, Raikkonen 3rd & Kobyashi 4th.

I know it is correct I was referring to the quote, that i highlighted :) (didn't mean that to sound harsh sorry)

That's ok Terri, I didn't find your reply harsh...I'm just a little confused, but that's how I've gone through all my life so far so no change there :D

I was refering to an earlier post saying cars had been going wide there all weekend
This dosnt mean its legal the track is clearly defined and too many excursions invite some sort of reaction from the stewards
Vettal was stretching this somewhat
Vettal's penalty was for leaving the track (all four wheels) and rejoined gaining an advantage ( he should have given Jenson it back then he could have been third)

right i understand now, get confusing when reading different post sometimes.

Bernies motorhome went to germany but not Bernie
Make of that what you want
A few weeks ago it was I have nothing to fear from going to Hockenheim
