I'm currently looking at buying a Laptop so that I can practice transferring images to a laptop, captioning and wiring 'Live' whilst shooting down at Farsley, I figured this would be the next thing I need to practice and get good at before I apply for an agency.
Anyway I've just been playing with LR3 and the tethered shooting feature and I love it.
I just attach my iD3 with the USB and click away and all images are straight into LR3 with back ups on my memory cards
BUT the best thing is I can apply develop presets on import, so for example I can set one up for basic sharpening, clarity, contrast, NR etc and all these are then applied as I take the shot, This I think is a great time saver.
Another great feature is the ability to add all the metadata and keywords on Import as well
Now I'm just wondering how many of you guys use Tethered shooting over swapping memory cards. Also is it viable to shoot tethered when its raining?
And finally if you are using two bodies is it possible to attach them both to a laptop and shoot tethered using both cams?
Any thoughts and tips on this would be greatly appreciated
Regards
Phil
