Hi guys

I really, (and have done for absolutely years), loved wrist tattoos. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on them.

I don't know why I ask  After all if I get one it will be small and have personal meaning - it won't just be one from a tattoo catalogue. The local tattoo shop collaborates with you to design something personal.

Just wondering on peoples opinions on them really.

My honest opinion............I dont like them at all, ok for seamen but not for ladies ....... sorry

BUT loads of others love them and its your choice good luck

Hello Squizza,

I have a one on my wrist. Although its just inside my wrist and is only about 4 inches wide. I love it. Its not completely noticeable and you can cover it with bracelets or a watch if need be.

I'd say go for it!

Vicky.

I'm not keen on them either, and I've never known anyone stop at just one tattoo. But it's no big deal, and if you want to then it's up to you and no-one else.

Well it won't be an impulse thing and I'd rather spend the money on the collaboration thing to get something I won't regret. It would be small and on the inside (not on the top of my arm.)
:)

I don't mind peoples opinions - like you say i did ask!

I suppose it is because I was doing some research on the net, and came across some topics about them and some people said they would not be friends with someone who has a tattoo because they must smoke and drink if not more, and people with tattoos would ruin the lives of their children... lol it just made me think that its very judgemental.

Well personally I'd be more inclined to have nothing to do with people that had a narrow minded attitude like that, than with someone who merely had a tattoo. :cuckoo:

I just thought that it was a really strange thing to have said. It just made me think about the effect tattoos have really.

Best not to have one then... :):)

I don't plan to :p.

A little more insight on my view:
I'm never really sure who people get tattoo's for; for themselves - to look at and be reminded/think etc, or for other people to be "wow".

If it is the latter, then I'd personally say you have something missing in your personality to have to get a tattoo for people to be impressed by you.

A tattoo for yourself seems good, but every year it seems to be lately that I look back on things I used to do and think to myself "oh god, I used to do that :bonk:".

Cliché of course, but that is really going to be with you for the rest of your life. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I would only ever do it for myself. Which is why its not going to be an impulse thing, if at all.

Tattoos on women can look stunning....

They can also look chavvy and quite unattractive (that does go for men too). it all depends on the person, the tattoo, it's placement and how they present themselves.

However I don't judge an individual based on them having tattoos, that would be quite hypocritical of me. I am still currently searching for the right artist to design and apply my Marvel comic sleeve.

Tattoos on ladies look chav like and are a massive turn off to most men. Depends on what you are trying to attract.

I think they are slut like and hate them.Sorry for being honest, but that is my opinion.

She looks stunning. I don't look like that

I agree they do look awful on some people, and I really dislike catalogue ones...you know...walk in, browse 5 catalogues worth of mass produced ones.

I know from experience..... I chose one when I was 18..had it done on the back of my spine....tribal pattern, really liked it. Got it done, and about a year later it was printed on a tshirt in a mans clothing shop :$

Its ok, don't apologise - I did ask!

Off the shelf tattoos do tend to be for the people who want tattoos for the sake of having them.
No offence.

I'd be interested to know the source for the research which tells you that 'they are a massive turn off to most men'

Tattoos are a great way to express yourself and most of the time look fabulous on a woman. Except I hate when someone has their name tattooed on them, is it incase they forget it?

Also I dont believe most men find it a turn off. I dont know any man, apart from my father, who feels that way.

Its your body I wouldnt let someone elses opinions affect something you want to do.

its your wrist. if your happy, go for it.
my mrs has seven tattoo's and i love em.
only thing i would say is, think long and hard about the design.
once theyre on, theyre on.
ok, you can get em removed, expensively, and it makes a mess.

dont just go to your local shop either.
go to someone who is recomended to you.
all tatt shops arent the same.

of course, you have to post a piccy of it though.

Exactly - and I've learnt that the hard way with the one on my back :) although its not something i regret...i just wish I had thought about it.

Sorry I think if a woman has a tattoo it makes them look rough and chavvy.

I don't think a 'lady' would ever have a tattoo.

But you should do what you want.

Funny, I don't drink nor smoke, but want a tattoo.
Wow, some people amaze me - in the wrong ways!:cuckoo:

I love Kat VonD!

After the recent press speculation I am not sure Lady Gaga is the best example of 'Lady' :D

Most men I know think they are crap.

No research ,no detailed sources,no *******s. I`m 43, most guys I know of my age ,loathe tattoos on women, call us old codgers if you must.

:)

Its good I don't want one to impress then

You`ll be fine then, do what the heck you want,it ain`t a dress rehearsal.................

So Cheryl Cole's clearly no lady then? She's got a tat on her wrist

It's not something that appeals to me, but my best friend has one on her back. I'll just put up with operation scars instead :D - I'm likely to get another set within a year as well :'( not looking forward to that one

Squizza, personally I'd say go for it and I think you've made your mind up, it's just a case of getting the right design for you.
