That worked out well, captained Palmer this week he has be a bit poor the last few weeks but I thought Chelsea are playing the bottom two teams surely he will snap out of it, four goals not one or even an assist, he's toast.

PS. Buy him now because I'll drop him and he'll get a hattrick against Leicester in the next round.

Sometimes you have to be brave to break the template especially at the latter end of the season. Bad luck that it didn't work out. If he'd got three goal involvements we'd all have been jealous.

I have also considered moving him on. However, he is creating chances and more than capable of getting a haul against any team especially Leicester. Plus he has good fixtures other than gw29 when many players will not feature, and who else can fill his boots? Saka isn't an option until gw30 or 31, Son or Madison only have 3 easy fixture remaining, Bruno Fernandes could be playing left back next week the way they are going and there is nobody at Citeh or 'Pool performing consistently other than Salah who we all have.

I think that I'll be keeping him until Saka is back fully fit then reconsider.

I was tempted by Palmer when using the WC, but couldn't manage to squeeze him in. I settled on Fernandes instead, we'll see how that works out

I shipped Palmer out after the nothing display of the weekend, after many weeks of not much. I did that to also bring in Isak in, but that was the kiss of death for him! :$

And I also got rid of Wissa to make space for Isak. :ROFLMAO:

Semenyo will come off the bench for Isak with 1 point, but I had van Dijk and Saliba on the bench with 6 points each. It looks like I should win my H2H though. :)

It was bound to happen sooner or later, I'm about to lose my H2H by points off the bench - Tied at 49pts each, both of us had Isak but I only have 1pt coming off the bench, opp has 7 - The only hope I have is Bowen to get 6 or more. Both of us also have Wan-Bissaka, it's literally down to Bowen

He's not a bad player in that spot to depend on, but I'm due a jinx :D

Agreed :ROFLMAO:

But I would prefer that you didn't involve my player in your overdue downfall :p

I was winning my H2H yesterday, and now it looks like I will lose by 1 point! I don't understand what has changed, as they didn't have any West Ham or Leicester players.:rolleyes::LOL:

Both Trent and Gabriel lost bonus points after the reviews. Could that be it?

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

At least the result was a bit closer than our previous encounter!!!

I thought I'd lost but somehow opp didn't get Rogers from the bench? Was sure he was next in line or i need to get to Specsavers

Little movement in the whole league again this week, but the top five slightly extended the gaps between themselves. Chambolica Charente(64) still top, and now 25 points ahead of Fiendishly Bad!!!(55). Klopp-Slot Boom!(54) are now 10 points behind Fiendishly Bad!!!

Banished to Riyadh(51) are a further 12 points behind in 4th. Amber Army are just 1 point behind in 5th.

The average point score for the week was 53.

Highest scorer of the week was horspath hounds with 74.

This is an FA Cup weekend, so the deadline for making changes for the next gameweek is Sat 8th Mar @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, leader New Oak Utd beat Biggin Bangers 62-56 and extend their lead to 6 points because 2nd placed Klopp-Slot Boom! drew their H2H with Amber Army 54-54.

Chambolica Charente won against Penfold's Dangermice 64-58, and are now 1 point behind Klopp-Slot Boom!

Woody's wonders remain 2 points behind Chambolica Charente in 4th.

Tarric Terrors swap places with Banished to Riyadh, after beating them 55-51, and move up into 5th. 1 point ahead.

Warrington Town took on AVERAGE, and came out winners 59-53.

Next to take on AVERAGE are Fiendishly Bad!!!. Góða eydnu. ;)

Next gameweek, 2nd and 3rd go H2H as Klopp-Slot Boom! and Chambolica meet, so possible position changes their. And leader New Oak Utd take on 4th placed Woody's wonders.

I miscalculated, if Biggin bangers did get Rogers off the bench it would have been a draw? But I'll take the win, obviously!

The bench to the rescue for me this round, I was losing but we both had Isak out. Rodgers gave me 7 of the bench and I think my opponent got 0.

Heads up any Cunha owners; he was red carded today and will probably be banned for at least 3 and possibly more gameweeks. If you are planning around the blank gw 29 don't rely on him being available.

Yeah that sucks, I also have Mateta on red, only just brought both in :/

Nasty "tackle" on Mateta. Lucky nothing more serious.

Cunha was in a bad mood from the start, as seen when he scored his great goal. I also have him in me team, but he deserves all he gets.

Edit: Forgot I got Cunha out to get Isak in.

Its going to get complicated. The FA Cup will cause a blank gw in 34, possibly preceded by double gw in 33, but we won't get to know for sure until around gw30 or 31. Cunha is likely to be out for more than 3 gws so he might not be back for any potential double gw. And Mateta we don't know about. But his fixtures get tougher after the blank gw 29 when he isn't playing.

Cunha, Matetta and now Hall is out for the rest of the season :runaway:

Well after relenting after last week I kept Palmer well he's out now, a 4 point return from the two bottom teams and that's only because Chelsea managed to keep two clean sheets.

Its a funny old game as Greavsie used to say. I have kept him because he was still creating chances. And there isn't much to choose from as a replacement. I think that I will keep him until Saka comes back from injury.

Oooh! That Bruno free kick might just have preserved my lead for another week. Unless Saliba scores and Bowen doesn't I will survive another scare. :)

Maybe Bruno is the new Palmer?

Of course Madison came on and did nothing, I had 5pts ready to come in off the bench. Probably won't matter, I need a CS and Bowen to get at least one goal and bonus pts to win this round's H2H I think - Can't complain, my opp had 23pts on their bench!!

I've already lost my H2H with one game to go. :( We both have Isak left to get points, so another loss. I have 19 points sitting on the bench too.

I'd still choose the same players, without the hindsight. ;)

I needed Bowen and Wissaka to get at least 13pts between them [13 to draw]
No go [they got 4] ... GG Woody's for breaking my win streak - had to happen eventually

Chambolica Charente's(64) lead at the top is reduced to 16 points from Fiendishly Bad!!!(73).

Banished to Riyadh(61) move up into 3rd, 34 points behind Fiendishly Bad!!!, but 1 point ahead of Klopp-Slot Boom!(52), who drop a place to 4th. Amber Army are still 5th, and two points behind.

Highest points scorer of the week was Tarric Terrors with 79 points.

The average point score for the week was 52.

Because of the European games, there is no Friday games, and so the deadline for making changes in Sat 15th Mar @13:30.

Be aware that some teams may not be playing this week because of the Carabao Cup Final. ;)

Klopp-Slot Boom! are 2 points behind Chambolica Charente, and on equal points with Woody's wonders after their win.

Tarric Terrors beat Biggin Bangers 79-66, and are 5th, 5 points behind Woody's wonders. There were no other movements in the league.

Fiendishly Bad!!! beat AVERAGE 73-62.

Tricky round, I can have 11 on field with zero subs using just the one free transfer, which is what I think I'll do. Saving the FH chip for now

I just need to stay above Average, literally, for the H2H, I was just barely above last round!

Average should be low this week as many of the ghost ships won't have anywhere near 11 players.

I too will scrape 11 if nobody goes sick or injured.

Using just 1 transfer I'm managing to field a team with 11 playing also have 1 playing sub

There's 10 rounds to go and I've still got a wildcard plus the bench boost and Assistant Manager chips to play

I'm hopeless at chip usage. Last year I completely forgot about the triple captain and missed all the dgw fixtures. I threw it on Haaland in the last but one fixture and he scored 4 goals so that turned out well. I still have it along with the bench boost and free hit, but rarely plan to use them more than one week in front. It is still nip and tuck at the top with at least 3 teams that could go top in a single gameweek, let alone ten.

For obvious reasons H2H is where my focus is this season - Clearly I can never battle for the upper end of the league, but it's still fun to try for the H2H side. I still have the FH & BB chips, but knowing me I'll funk them up too!

Congratulations to The Fiend in taking top spot (y)

It looks like a close 5 way battle to the finish line now. Meanwhile Keith is cossting to the finish line.

Thanks!!!. I doubt I'll stay in top spot for long and it's only because a bonus points increase overnight.....

Plenty of rounds for me to lose it yet! :D

And we have a new leader, as Fiendishly Bad!!!(55) take top spot ahead of Chambolica Charente(38) by 1 point!

Banished to Riyadh(59) remain in 3rd place. Amber Army move up to 4th, as Klopp-Slot Boom! drop to 5th.

Highest scorer of the week was New Oak Utd with 72 points.

The average point score for the week was 40.

Internationals this week, and then FA Cup games the weekend after next, and so a midweek start for the next gameweek, and the deadline for making changes is Tue 1st Apr @18:15.

In the Head2Head league, leader New Oak Utd came out ahead of AVERAGE 72-40, and extend their lead to 7 points. 2nd placed Chambolica Charente lose ground after getting beat by Asteriskter Citeh* 77-38.

3rd placed Klopp-Slot Boom! were beaten by Banished to Riyadh 47-59, and stay 2 points behind Chambolica Charente. 4th placed Woody's wonders were beaten by me :) 46-38, and stay on equal points with Klopp-Slot Boom!

Banished to Riyadh's win moves them up into 5th place, 3 points behind.

Next up to take on AVERAGE is Biggin Bangers. հաջողություն. ;)
