Congratulations to Keith! 2nd place in the HtH. Who's next to face the in form cup team? Be afraid. Be very afraid :D

I've been lucky with match ups vs players having bad weeks really, but I'll take it! :)

I've been lucky with match ups vs players having bad weeks really, but I'll take it! :)

Looks like your rotation policy is paying dividends :D

Change at the top again, as Klopp-Slot Boom!(32) and Woody's wonders(59) swap places, again. ;) Woody's wonders have a 13 point lead at the top, and Klopp-Slot Boom! are only 4 points ahead of Chambolica Charente(44) who remain 3rd.

Mrs Smith's Boys(51) move up four positions to 4th, just one point ahead of Fiendishly Bad!!!(43), who are just one point ahead of Bigging Bangers(35).

Highest scorer of the week was Amber Army with 71 points.

The average point score for the week was 36.

There is a Friday game this week, so the deadline for making changes Fri 25th Oct @18:30.

Change at the top of the Head2Head league too, as last week's leader, Klopp-Slot Boom! lost their match up with New Oak Utd 32-44, and drop down to 3rd, as New Oak Utd move up to 2nd. Woody's wonders won their H2H with Penfold's Dangermice 59-21, and move into top spot, but on equal points with New Oak Utd.

Chambolica Charente lost against Amber Army 44-71, and drop to 4th. Biggin Banger were beaten by Warrington Town, 35-42 and drop to 5th.

Tarric Terrors took on AVERAGE, and were victors 45-36.

Next up against AVERAGE are Mrs Smith's Boys. Viel Glück. ;)
Klopp-Slot Boom! have the chance to go back to the top, as they take on leader Woody's wonders, and a win could see them back to the top, depending on other results. ;)

Its Redhed 17 facing the mighty New Oak United! Has Keith got another squad rotation masterclass up his sleeve? :)

I've used the Wildcard and made 6 changes. :$ It should be better this week with those changes, as two of the previous squad are suspended, but it will be interesting to see how different it will be compared what I had in before. I'm hoping for big improvement obviously. ;)

All the FPL pundits seem to be trying to get people to buy a couple of Wolves players. They talk them up, but when you look at their teams the following week they rarely have taken their own advice. Strange that

I transferred Saliba out before he had unfastened his boot laces :D With his large ownership and the Arsenal defence generally not returning many points I sensed a fire sale so sold early to avoid a price drop.

I needed to bring in Watkins and also I had run out of patience with C-L. Its all very well posting high threat levels and penalty area touches, but what I wanted to see were points on the board. Jimenez is on a run of good form and might be on penalties after last week so I sent the scouts out to talk to him and we agreed terms. That gave me enough dosh to swap Havertz to Olly.

Woody's wonders(60) stay in the top place, though their lead at the top is down to 6 points ahead of Klopp-Slot Boom!(67).

Mrs Smith's Boys(67) move up a place to 3rd. Chambolica Charente(57) drop down to 4th. Fiendishly Bad!!!(65) stay in 5th.

Highest scorers of the week were Klopp-Slot Boom! and Mrs Smith's Boys with 67.:clap:

The average score for the week was 54.

No Friday game this week, so the deadline for making changes is Sat 2nd Nov @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, Woody's wonders lost their match up with Klopp-Slot Boom! 60-67, who move up to 2nd, now on equal points, but stay on top, ahead on accumulated gameweek points.

Biggin Bangers beat Chambolica Charente 64-57, moving up to 3rd, also on 18 points like the top two, whilst Chambolica Charente drop a position to 5th.

Also still on 18 points, but dropping from 2nd to 4th, are New Oak Utd, who lost to me, 50-60. :)

Mrs Smith's Boys chose a good week to be joint top scorer, and beat AVERAGE 67-54.

Next up to take on AVERAGE are Klopp-Slot Boom! Fat të mirë.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, and I mentioned I was going to use my Wildcard, and it would be interesting to see what I would have got if I had not used the Wildcard. I think I maybe gained 19 points mores than I may have got by not changing. I think this is the first time in 3-4 years that the Wildcard has actually worked when I have used it. :)

For anyone interested, here is the comparison of what I may have got, compared to what I actually got.

And yes, I do use a spreadsheet for my Fantasy Footy, and yes, I colour the players cells with their team colours. Makes me happy. :D

It's not just the 19 points, some of those changes will undoubtedly gain you points over the upcoming weeks. I tend to think of wildcards as a 5-6 week move.

And me too, I have a spreadsheet. Although mine is colourcoded on fixture ease....

I’m feeling completely inadequate. I haven’t got a spreadsheet. Probably explains why I am in the bottom half of the table

Have you seen where I am normally in these leagues! :$ A spreadsheet may not necessarily help, but I like playing around with Excel. :)

Woody's wonders(49) still top the league, four points ahead of Chambolica Charente(65), who move up two places to 2nd. Klopp-Slot Boom!(50) drop to 3rd, just one point behind. Mrs Smith's Boys(43) drop a position to 4th. Amber Army(55) move up from 8th>5th.

Highest scorer of the week was Chambolica Charente with 65.

Average point score for the week was 39.

Woody's wonders still top the Head2Head league, after beating Asterisker Citeh* 49-46.

In 2nd, still on the same points as the leader, after their win against AVERAGE 50-39, are Klopp-Slot Boom! In 3rd, also still on the same points as the top two, after beating Warrington Town 45-39 are New Oak Utd.

Chambolica Charente move up to 4th, after coming out ahead of Banished to Riyadh 65-39, and are now 3 points behind the top three. Falling a place to 5th, also 3 points behind the top three, are Biggin Bangers who were beaten by me 37-31. :)

Next up to take on AVERAGE is me! :$

Flekken dropped from 13 points after 90 minutes to 4 points after injury time. Otherwise I would have briefly been top of the table. I wuz robbed! :dummy:

At least it was still positive points, as you could have stayed where you were, it is that close at the top. ;)

It must be nice to be close to the top. I vaguely remember the feeling.:LOL:

Was that just before gw1 kicked off?

This season is a weird one. I'm happy to be back inside the top 1 million this week..... Any other season I'd consider that an absolute disaster!

It seems that everyone doing well in my other leagues are the ones going without Haaland, but I just can't bring myself to do it!

I think it is a strange situation in the Haaland does not help his defence like other forwards do, isn't as creative and is is more reliant on being served with chances. At the moment City need help at the back and he isn't getting the support that he needs. I'm surprised that he is still being selected. That said he is always capable of 2 or 3 goals if the circumstances are right.

That said he is always capable of 2 or 3 goals if the circumstances are right.
And that is why so many people pick him. ;) His goals to games ratio is insane, and so far, big points are just a game or two away. It will be interesting to see his output if City continue their bad run. Will his goals dry up, or will he score regardless.

It has to be said, Salah does not do much defensively, but more than Haaland. And while Salah doesn't score as much as Haaland, he does assist more. For most players it is either/or.

If you can make a team with both of them in you, may not be doing too bad, but the quality of the players you would have to get with the little money left, may not make for an enjoyable game each week, ;) especially if Haaland and Salah had a low scoring week.

I'm Haaland-less atm, managed to squeeze in Palmer and Sake with that move, though they did naff all lol - but they will over time. Also my cheapest fwd, Wood has been outscoring most others

I like the idea of Saka, and the media love him, and he seems a nice lad, but a lot of the time in the past he didn't do much consistently. He is having a better season this time though.

I've just put Wood in for Watkins, whose season doesn't seem to have started yet, so brace for Wood's goals to dry up as I work the magic I didn't realise I had. :(

Try having Haaland, Salah and Palmer.... Means I'm in the bargain basement bin for the rest of them, but somehow still have £1m in the bank!!!

Just looked, and I can't believe the players you have beyond Haaland, Salah and Palmer. :$ I shied away from just Haaland and Salah because of the combined cost. Maybe I shouldn't have, and tried a bit harder.

Yours is a far stronger squad though. Time will tell I guess

That's the thing, I don't think my squad is that much stronger, which it should be with Haaland, Palmer and Salah in your team, and that is showing in our relative positions. :( Only Greaves, Wheatley and Mykolenko look like compromises imho.

Looks like you have the winning formula, at least compared to me.

I wish I had your defence though! (Although mines doing well this week so far)...

Not complaining well (i am a little bit). Can someone tell me why kovacic did not receive an assist, when he passed the ball forward to haaland, whose shot was deflected (i think) onto the crossbar, ball came back out and haaland then scored. I have read the rules and it seems to me that all the conditions for an assist to be awarded were met. Still i did end up with a decent score after a run of lousy results dragged me down the league

Woody's wonders(57) stay top of the league from Klopp-Slot Boom!(61), by one point. :$ Chambolica Charente(52) drop a position to 3rd, nine points behind the leader.

Amber Army(63) move up to 4th, swapping places with Mrs Smith's Boys(54)

Highest scorer for the week was horspath hounds with 68 points.

The average point score for the week was 49.

Irritatingly, another international week, so a couple of weeks till the next gameweek. The deadline for making changes is Sat 23rd Nov @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, leader Woody's wonders, beat Warrington Town 57-49 to remain on top. The only other team on the same points, and moving up to 2nd, are New oak Utd, who beat Fiendishly Bad!!! 50-43.

Last week's 2nd placed team, Klopp-Slot Boom! lost their H2H with horspath hounds 61-68, and drop to 3rd. Biggin Bangers won their H2H against Penfold's Dangermice 55-35, and are on 21 points like Klopp-Slot Boom!. Also on 21 points, after their win above, horspath hounds move up to 5th.

I took on AVERAGE this week, and lost 36-49. :$:headbang:

Next up to take on AVERAGE are Warrington Town. Pob lwc. ;) Hope you do better than I did.

Next gameweek, Biggin Bangers have the chance to beat New Oak Utd to get up to the same number of points, and in doing so, would go ahead of them on accumulated points.

I know that you shouldn't but I've gone early with my 3 free transfers. Outing Solanke, Johnson and Watkins for Saka, Jackson and Pedro. When I ran it through it left zero funds so I pressed the transfer button before any price changes kicked in. Just hope my players stay fit through the IB. Saka is safe having dropped out of the England squad. Trent is a worry though.

I'm waiting till after the internationals to make any changes. I have one free transfer, and 3.9m in the bank, but will see if I want to do any more than the free transfer depending on injuries, which I hope there will be none. ;)
