TalkPhotography Fantasy Football League(s) 24/25

I didn't have a good week considering I used the WC, but I somehow won my H2H, which is always nice.

WC used, but it does mean I have Salah in without any penalty

There are more players, and more people putting more 'work' into it, but I also think it depends on make up of the football players and the league each year. If there are dominant teams, or very dominant players, they can skew peoples numbers if they don't get the dominant teams or players.

Hence my change to Haaland before I fall too far behind.

Yep, especially if they underprice a key player, then everyone has them
 
Well, it seems that while I was on holiday the team were too. 20 points is the lowest that I have ever scored :headbang:

Nice one Keith. Let's hope that this is the turning point for you.

Have you ever thought that all the transfer 4 point deductions might have something to do with it? :D

I have three free transfers and will be refreshing the team this week. Time for changes.

We have a new leader, as Klop-Slot Boom!(67) move from 3rd>1st, one point ahead of Woody's wonders(59), who remain in 2nd. Former leader, horspath hounds(50), drop to 3rd. The top three are covered by four points. :)

Biggin Bangers(57) and Fiendishly Bad!!!(54) stay in 4th and 5th.

Highest scorer of the week was Tarric Terrors with 77 points. :clap:

The average point score for the week was 58.

The deadline for making changes is Sat 28th Sep @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, the last unbeaten team has gone, as horspath hounds were beaten by Biggin Bangers 50-57, and drop to 3rd. New leader, Klopp-Slot Boom! beat me, 67-54. :( Woody's wonders are still in 2nd, after beating Chambolica Charente 59-53. With their win, Biggin Bangers are still 4th, and equal points as the three team above.

Asteriskter Citeh* beat New Oak Utd 64-53to move into 5th.

Penfold's Dangemice were beaten by AVERAGE 58-52. ;) And that takes Penfold's Dangermice record so far as 0/5. :oops: :$

Next up against AVERAGE are Chambolica Charente. Bon chance. ;)

I've hit the panic button :D I was hoping that my 3 free transfers would be enough to refresh the team, but I really needed 2 more so I've taken the oppertunity to change half the team.

Watch out Mr. Average; Chambolica Charente v2.0 is ready for the weekend!

No, I lost by far more than 4 to a team who shouldn't be in the league, but it's all good

Now, silly things [hindsight is always great] like last minute switching captaincy from Salah to Haaland cost me a lot more, also selling Jackson last round

My double Arsenal defence worked well today :headbang:

But, I have just read that James Justin who scored twice against the gooners also has double Arsenal defence. That makes me feel better.

Looks like a lot of the top players did too. Strangely I had my disaster week two weeks ago and did well this time. Onwards and upwards!

Ben Crellin used his WC to transfer out Haaland and Salah last week. His midfield this week includes Bruno & Son and yet still managed 62 points for 389 overall :D

:rolleyes: Ben Crellin is a fantasy football manager who is well-known for his creation of spreadsheets that help people to navigate the FPL schedule. Crellin has had 11 top 50k finishes in the FPL & 5 top 10k finishes in the last 7 seasons.

He is an FPL God and he has just dropped Salah & Haaland. :)
 
Well, after two weeks of below average results i have managed to retain my position in HtoH league and up to 2nd in main league, its so tight in the top three. Who was it that said "things can only get better"!!!!
 
All change at the top again, :) as Woody's wonders(59) move up a position to the top. horspath hounds(49) also move up a place into 2nd. Last week's leader, Klopp-Slot Boom!(43), drop two places to 3rd.

Fiendishly Bad!!!(59) swap positions with Biggin Bangers(49), and move up into 4th.

Highest scorer of the week was Amber Army with 88. :clap: Honourable mention to Warrington Town with 86 points.

The average point score for the week was 50 points.

The deadline for making changes is Sat 5th Oct @11:00.

Change at the top of the Head2Head league, as Woody's wonders go to the top, and 3 points clear after beating Banished to Riyadh 59-42.

Klopp-Slot Boom! drop from top to 3rd, after losing their H2H with Warrington Town 43-86. horspath hounds move up into 2nd, despite losing 49-88.

Asterisker Citeh* beat me 66-48 to move up 4th, and one of the 7 teams below the leader on 12 points.

The ebb and flow of the Haaland effect was visible this week, as many who had him as captain got a whole 4 points for him, me included. :oops: :$ :LOL:

Last week's leader, Woody's wonders(28) had a below average week, with no one taking up the Haalwand slack, and drop to 2nd. Despite also having Haaland, Klopp-Slot Boom!(57) had a good week, thanks to Saka, amongst other, and go from 15 points behind to 14 ahead at the top, jumping two positions in the process.

Chambolica Charente(57) had another good week, and go from 6th>3rd. Biggin Bangers(53) move up one place to 4th. Fiendishly Bad!!!(41) drop one position to 5th.

Highest scorer of the week was Penfold's Dangermice with 66 points. :clap:

The average point score for the week was 46.

This is another international week, so the deadline for making changes for the next gameweek is Sat 19th Oct @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, Woody's wonders tenure at the top lasted a week, as they were beaten by Tarric Terrors 61-28, and so stay on 15 points as they drop to 2nd. Klopp-Slot Boom! move back to the top spot after beating Fiendishly Bad!!! 57-41.

Chambolica Charente came out ahead of horspath hounds 57-26. and move up three positions to 3rd, also now on 15 points. Another team now on 15th points in 4th, are Biggin Bangers, who beat Banished to Riyadh 53-40. In 5th, and the last team now on 15 points, are New Oak Utd, who won a close(ish) match up with Mrs Smith's Boys 45-41.

Penfold's Dangermice being highest scorer of the week, and so beating Amber Army 66-36, get their first points of the season. :clap:

Asteriskter Citeh* were up against the AVERAGE this week, and lost a close one 46-43.

Next up against the AVERAGE are Tarric Terrors. Buona fortuna. ;)

Very likely it'll come down to Palmer Vs Salah! You have points coming off the bench which puts you ahead atm
 
I'm considering the Wild Card for next week. I have two red cards from yesterday, and another who's injured. :rolleyes:

Had a terrible week even without the two red cards. :( 8 points below the average, and that will probably rise with the last game still to play.
 
Despite the Saliba red card and only three players scoring more than 2 points I managed a reasonable 44 points, 4 over the green arrow marker. Still got trounced in the HtH by Amber Army though :mad:
