TalkPhotography Fantasy Football League(s) 24/25

I think I have removed MidtablemediocrityFC, Rohl up, Rohl up! and Asteriskter Citeh* from the league because they have not posted here to say they had joined, and what the name of their team was. I will not be sure they have been removed till next week because the interface for administering the league is very poor. :( :headbang: :rolleyes:

That's a shame, they had one job!

Makes it tougher for me to stay off the bottom now :ROFLMAO: Haven't had the best of starts

I don't think it was asking for much.

I did DM vanishedbob, which I shouldn't have done, to see if he had changed the name of his team to Asteriskter Citeh*, but did not get a reply. :(

So hopefully MidtablemediocrityFC, Rohl up, Rohl up! and Asteriskter Citeh* have been removed. Sad that the league is a bit smaller, but at least no one can finish lower than than 15th. That would still be last, but it wouldn't be 18th place and last. :LOL:

It really wasn't, anyone who's played with us here even once knows the rule by now, it's just dissappointing they couldn't be bothered to make that one post :( I mean, you're doing a hell of a lot more keeping it all together , all they had to do was make one post! :headbang:
 
FPL is similar to Facebook in that people collect 'friends' who they don't know on FB and join mini leagues that they have no connection with on FPL just to have more of them than others. It makes them feel important.

I see that Keith triple-captained Haaland. He actually gained a few more points than it cost him in the deductions for transferring out half his team :D

horspath hounds(75) remain top of the league, though only by two points, from Klopp-Slot Boom!(91), who are up from 5th. Klopp-Slot Boom! were also the highest scorer of the week too. :clap:

Chambolica Charente(78) stay in 3rd. MidtablemediocrityFC(77) are again in 4th, as I can't seem to remove them from the league. :headbang: I have also been unable to remove the other two teams as well. I have sent a message to the FFL website, but have not heard back from them. :(

Last week's 2nd placed team, Woody's wonders (70), drop to 5th.

The average score for the week was 64.

There is an irritating international break this week, :rolleyes: :headbang: so the deadline for making changes is Sat 14th Sep @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, horspath hounds are still top on maximum points. They are there after beating Woody's wonders 75-70, and that ended their winning streak, dropping them to 4th from 2nd.

Up into 2nd, still unbeaten, are Klopp-Slot Boom!, who came out ahead of Mrs Smith's Boys 87-82. The last unbeaten team, remaining in 3rd position, are Chambolica Charente, who beat Fiendishly Bad!!! 78-65.

Banished to Riyadh beat AVERAGE 73-64. ;)

Next to take on AVERAGE is leader horspath hounds. It could be an embarrassing way to lose top spot. ;) :LOL:

We had the first draw of the season, as I drew with Tarric Terrors 77-77. :oops: :$

The FFL site got back to me with regards to removing teams from the league, and the mistake I was apparently making was searching for the name of the team, when I should have been searching for the name of the team owner. :rolleyes: Hopefully MidtablemediocrityFC, Rohl up, Rohl up! and Asteriskter Citeh* have now been removed from the TalkPhotography FFL 24/25. :)

I wouldn't worry too much, your team is probably better than what I can conjure up - doing it now because I regret not keeping Salah in from my initial drafts
 
Well I've relented to the inevitable and brought in Haaland, so that's either a drop in form or an injury coming his way.

I've done the same, Salah has started well, but I can't see him keeping pace with Haaland. :( :rolleyes:
Thankfully I had the 4 free changes available for it all not to cost me anything. :)

I've managed to shoehorn them both in. I had a couple so no cost apart from having to sacrifice two good player to get him.

I was sure I registered, and saw myself in the league on wk 1. ?????

You were. I stated one stipulation in the opening post that people who joined had to post here to prove that they were a member of the site.

You didn't, and I posted here a number of times, which you can see if you go back through the thread, warning you, and the two other teams that were not claimed, what I was going to do, which was exactly what I said I would do in the first post. You all even got weeks longer than I said in the initial post, as I had trouble working out how to remove the three unclaimed teams.

Sorry to lose you, the more the merrier, but you can't say I didn't make things clear, and give you enough time to do the one thing I asked of all the people who joined up.

horspath hounds(58) have increased their lead at the top slightly to 7 points, ahead of Woody's wonders(65), who move up from 5th to 2nd. Klopp-Slot Boom!(46) drop a place to 3rd. Biggin Bangers(71) move up from 11th to 4th, after being highest scorer of the week. :clap: Fiendishly Bad!!!(66) also had a good week, and go from 10th to 5th.

Nice to see such big movements atm. :)

The average points score for the week was 51.

The deadline for making changes is Sat 21st Sep @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, horspath hounds maintain the only unbeaten run, after sidestepping the banana skin that could have been AVERAGE, beating 'them' 58-51.

There are five teams now 3 points behind on 9 points. 2nd are now Woody's wonders, after beating Amber Army 65-31. Klopp-Slot Boom! lost against Biggin Bangers 46-71, and drop a place to 3rd, whilst Biggin Bangers move up to 4th after the win.

Chambolica Charente fall to 5th after losing against New Oak Utd 20-33. New Oak Utd are the last team on 9 points in 6th.

Penfold's Dangermice are next to take on AVERAGE. ;)

I've usually chickened out and wasted a wildcard by week 3 but this time I haven't... The core of my team this season is the same I ended up with last season and it's bearing fruit.... Hopefully this year I'll beat my all-time high score!!!

High score is a weird one... My best ever finishing rank was stupidly high, but was a score I've beaten 4 times since, sometimes by 100+ points, and never come anywhere near that rank since.

I've never been very high in the rankings hence my target is a best ever score

My highest finish was 125,066th with 2,139 points. I have had more points than that three times, but my lowest finish, 3,351,252nd position, was with 10 more points than my best finish year with 2,149. :thinking: :LOL:

Looking at my points vs finishing positions, they don't seem to make sense. :LOL:

More players and more available info, means it gets harder year on year to get a good rank imo
