You do realise I had changed captaincy before your post right? lol, I was led astray by the FPL crew, they had suggested it could be Palmer's week ... the tits! Normally I don't listen to any advice, I just look at current form.

Yeah, but Dalot hasn't done much lately, Spurs & ManU are in decline, Mbueno has some tricky fixtures coming up, Solanke is struggling and you haven't got a goalkeeper...........

I'd activate the Wildcard before things get worse.

I have already dropped Solanke for Wood, that's the sole transfer I've made so far. I barely have a bench though, and as you point out no keeper in action atm, so I have pondered on that with 2 reds on the bench :/ but i'll wait till closer to deadline to decide. It certainly won't be the wild card, but taking a -4 hit on a player who is likely to score more is a possible. I have 1.2m in the bank.

Cunah is out for 2 games I think. But worth having on his recent form. I've brought Jota in for the injured Bowen. I had him a couple of weeks ago, but Slott said that he wouldn't feature much for the first few weeks. I wanted Diaz, but couldn't afford him and as Darwin is out of favour Jota might get to play against the Manchester rabble.

Tough call. I sacked Pedro a couple of weeks ago, but he got 2xA last game and is highly owned by the top 10k players. Cunah is on fire, but has tough fixtures after his ban. Evanilsm might be worth considering to release funds. Same with Delap & Vardy. Or you could go Dalot > a Forest defender like Aina.

Yeah I've seen that on and off during their podcasts, which is why I mostly just go with my gut. Right or wrong, then at least it's my decisions

Half way point this season and I'm shocked that I'm about 400 points ahead of what my points tally was at the same stage last season!!! Think I've been lucky with injuries compared to last season.... Hopefully this season I'll beat my best ever points tally at the end.....

I looked at using the Wildcard this gw. I made 6 changes, ran the new team through the FFS Rate My Team calculator and would be 5 points worse off after the next 6 weeks

I'll stick with what I've got for now. Timber & Faeces are both unavailable so I'm on bare bones, but we'll muddle through. I'm hoping that my annual crash is short lived.

Not many position changes this week, and the top 7 remain the same. Chambolica Charente's(60) lead at the top has been reduced again from Klopp-Slot Boom!(72) to 18 points.

3rd placed Fiendishly Bad!!!(76) are now just 7 points behind Klopp-Slot Boom!

Biggin Bangers(55) in 4th fell away a bit to 28 behind, and Amber Army(46) are now 11 points further back in 5th.

Highest scorer of the week was Penfold's Dangermice with 95 points. And that raised them up into the 2nd bottom place.

Average point score for the week was 66.

No Friday games, and so the deadline for making changes is Sat 4th Jan @11:00.

In the Head2Head league, leader New Oak Utd lost to Chambolica Charente 52-60, and 2nd placed Klopp-Slot Boom! won their match up with Biggin Bangers 72-55, to move to 4 points behind the leader.

In 3rd place, horspath hounds drew with AVERAGE 66-66, and are now 5 points behind Klopp-Slot Boom!

Chambolica Charente's win sees them move up a place to 4th, 1 point behind horspath hounds. The only other team on 33 points with Chambolica Charente are Woody's wonders, who beat Amber Army 84-46, and move up from 8th>5th.

Next to take on AVERAGE are Penfold's Dangermice, who will be hoping they have as good a week as this week, where they were the highest scorer, and beat me 95-73. Swerti.

Amber Army(91) move up to 4th, 11 points behind. Biggin Bangers drop to 5th, just 5 points behind Amber Army.

Highest scorer of the week was Tarric Terrors with 105!

The average point score for the week was 60.

It is the FA Cup this weekend, and so the next gameweek starts on Tuesday, and the deadline for making changes is Tues 14th Jan @18:00.

Woody's wonders beat Chambolica Charente 77-60, to move up into 3rd place, 3 points behind Klopp-Slot Boom! Biggin Bangers won their H2H with horspath hounds 75-72, and they go onto equal 34 points, but ahead on total accumulated points.

Penfold's Dangermice came out ahead of AVERAGE 70-60.

Yes, I was struggling with the team I had so used the wildcard chip to make wholesale changes, it seems to have worked. I'll just have to wait and see if it's just a one of or the shape of things to come.

Time to look at the Assistant Manager chip. The prices have been published. Obviously we have to take into account the double and blank game weeks, cup and European matches and injuries nearer the time, but I'll be putting some money to one side to have a punt on one of three managers I've picked out.

Historically he has returned over 200 points, but seems to have gone off the boil recently and some Liverpool fans are hoping that Bradley will get chance to play soon. That and the Real Madrid situation would make me nervous of having him.
