I had him already, benched for the United game. Aubamayang was my biggest mistake this round, had him as captain when I should have given it to Kane - oh well. 32pts thus far , could be much worse

I really need Bale and Watkins to perform well if I'm to have a chance Vs Amber Army but I'm not very optimistic, she's got Kane as captain

Sorry, a delay in posting, but busy at work, and no rush to get it posted before the next games. ;)

The lead at the top is down to 14 points as, as Amber Army (54) had a very good week, despite the limited number of games compared to Klopp Klopp Boom's still quite good 37 points.

Positions 3 - 5 stay the same, so Farcealona (23), Penfold's Dangermice (51) and Hardly Athletic (40) stay where they are. Champsanova (12) and Double Pogba Redbull (52) swap places, with the latter moving up to 6th. Double Pogba Redbull are now only four points behind Hardly Athletic. Banished to Riyadh are just one point behind Champsanova.

The average points score for the week was 25.

Special mention needs to be made of One Season Wonder who got one point! :oops: :$ I know it was a limited number of games, but still... ;) One other team in single digits too. :whistle:

I had e pretty good week, and got the same points as the previous week, 39 points, despite one of the team not having a game, and two players who could have played, also not playing. I moved up two places to 10th, just three points ahead of DTFC Snapper. :)

We are in the middle of a the International break, and so the deadline for changes is Sat 3rd Apr @11:00.

I think I will be delaying making changes as long as possible, to not only take notice of any injuries from the international games, but to also take into account any Covid cases that may result of the madness of sending players from all around the World to congregate together, and then disperse again. :rolleyes: :banghead:

The status quo remains for the top three in the H2H League, as each won their H2H's. Klopp Klopp Boom beat Atletico High Street 37 - 26 to up their total to 70 points. 2nd placed Amber Army beat Ball Oxes 50 - 35 to raise their total to 62 points. I think Biggin Bangers, despite doubling the points of their opponent in their 14 - 7 win, were lucky to not go H2H with a lot of other teams with higher scores. ;) Still, 60 points, so only two behind Amber Army. :)

Banished to Riyadh drop a place to 5th, and losing to Penfold's Dangermice 36 - 51. DTFC snapper move up to 4th after beating horspath hounds 30 - 12.

A top v bottom clash for the next gameweek as Klopp Klopp v Rotund FC. Fingers crossed for the upset by the underdog. (y)

JUSTSTAYEDUP lost to AVERAGE 11 - 25. JUSTSTAYED up could bounce back by beating me in the next round! :oops: :$ ;)

Next to take on AVERAGE are horspath hounds. Sing salamet. ;)

I had a surprisingly good week despite three players not adding any points, and won my H2H with Woodys wonders 39 - 36. I remain in 11th place. :)

Just have a couple of spurs players for wk32 when they double, but have cover to bench them the following week when they blank!!!!

The other blanks are less significant as likely not players most will have

Keeping an eye on Spurs aye, I had brought in Bale but no confidence in him, if Son is back Bale may not play - and everyone has Son and Kane so a decent differential could work out better. My MF is stacked, maybe too much so as I don't want to bench any of them, meaning I have to decide between forwards ... toss between Bamford and Watkins [also have Kane]. If I knew Bam was going to play for sure I'd chose him.
 
I don't trust Watkins at all so he's on the bench for me, he will come on to replace either of my city players if Pep screws me over (again)!

Have to say my team is looking the best it has all season. All my players have good fixtures, City having the only decent opposition in Leicester, but hey it's City!
Probably the kiss of death saying that though
 
Yeah I'm thinking something similar, I'd rather have Gundog on field than Watkins, and if he doesn't play it should be an auto switch anyway. Cancello is another doubtful to start, City rotate the defenders more than any others, I'm just going with 3 in defence with 2 on the bench, Cancello and Targett

I have on paper the strongest MF I've had to date, but of course that means little if they either don't play or just don't perform. Debated over bringing back KDB for Aubamayang but I'll hold for now, can't afford to blow anymore points. I'd like to finish top 10, only realistic goal for me at this tage I think

1.5m here, I did have 4.5m for a bit which is definitely the most I've had in the bank at any time since start

I tried to use that 1.5m too :D just couldn't swing it

Glad I didn't go for a Chelsea defender, was pondering on it. Only regret I might have is not playing Watkins, just couldn't decide who to take out of MF, got a strong line across there if they are all to play; Lingard, Aubamayang, Gündogan, Fernandes (c), Jota

Took a chance on Jota who replaces Bale and Bruno back in for Ødegaard

:LOL: Even worse I took out a Leeds player to get him in.... Leeds have a good chance of a clean sheet..... I've lost the plot!!!!
 
Might be time to ditch the Citeh boys ... too much rotational shennanigans going on there, I had benched Cancello but Gundog was also MIA today, should have gone with my instinct and left him out for Watkins, I'll get him in a sub switch anyway right?

Also, no show for Jota, damn it [edit] he came on and score lol ... at least that's something, been a tough start otherwise

Gundogan not playing has worked out for me as it brings Robertson off my bench with 6 points. :)

I feared Arsenal, which was why I left Robertson on the bench, but they were toothless tonight. Liverpool dominated from start to finish. :) Back to the old Arsenal. :rolleyes:

Aye, my boy Aubamayang is out next, that's 2 games I've held him for where he's done F all

Kudos to Jota though, bought him on a chance [replaced Bale] and it's worked out nicely [looks like he'll get 2 bonus pts too]. I have 2 Villa players on the bench, I think Watkins should replace Gundog for me so hopefully he does something, the other is Targett in defence and as I went with a back 3, I'm sure it should be Watkins over him to replace a MF?

Just checked my opposition in the H2H [tarric tots] - yup, I've no hope :ROFLMAO: though I do have some strong players to go, and if Fernandes can do something he is my cappa, also got Kane and my keeper still to play

Wish I had Jota... But 58 points all done is ok.
I've taken a risk and made 2 transfers already for next week. I didnt want to get caught out by price rises and not be able to afford the moves. I just hope I dont pick up any injuries in the team before then.... But happy to welcome back Salah to the team instead of KDB. Better fixtures and no Pep rotation madness!!
 
I did better than I expected, won the H2H I looked doomed to lose earlier on. And happy in that I didn't need the points from Watkins off the bench to win it :) but they do help in the overall of course. Jota worked out nicely and bringing Bruno back wasn't the worst decision - making him captain instead of Kane wasn't great though, nor was holding Aubamayang - he has to go now, which gives some juicy option for the money £11.4 plus 1.5 in the bank means I can have any player I want just on the free transfer [also thinking Salah]. Or is it really time to off Gundog also and split between 2 decent MF? Also Cancello needs to go, I'd like Salah and Robertson but offing Aubamayang and Cancello leaves me .5m shy dang it and they could well rise, but I'm going to wait till they're passed Madrid tonight to decide

Cagey, if you want a LFC defender, for their great run of fixtures (come on for top 4 and beat Madrid tonight:popcorn:) then Phillips at just 4m is a great shout now he seems to have forged a starting place. Salah has better fixtures than all the other big hitting midfielders, if only he can get a good run of form going.
 
The top six remain the same, Klopp Klopp Boom(58) slightly increasing their lead at the top ahead of Amber Army(45). Farcealona(57) got slightly closer to Amber Army in 3rd. Penfold's Dangermice(50) had a good week to stay in 4th. Hardly Athletic (71) had an even better week, and are now just ten points behind Penfold's Dangermice.

Highest scorer of the week, Double Pogba Redbull with 77 points, :clap: stay in 6th, but are now only two points behind Hardly Athletic. :)

Banished to Riyadh(37) move into 7th, swapping places with Champsanova(26). I had a very good week with 67 points, to move into 9th, and change places with Biggin Bangers(32). Positions 11 - 14 are covered by 13 points. :oops: :$ ;)

The average points score for the week was 46.

There is a full fixture list for next week at least, and there is also a Friday night game, so the deadline for making changes is Fri 9th Apr @18:30.

Nice, If I'd chosen Kane as Cap I'd have scored same, 75 and -4 for transfer, but happy enough with 63 [shows 67 in the league atm but that 4pys will be taken]

Salah is the most tempting right now for sure, it's what to do with the City players is the tricky one, probably hold Gun for now to save me 4pts, just keep him benched [unless I hear that he will play] Phillips does look decent for that price especially, and couldn't be worse than having Cancello just wasting away. Not decided whether to go 4 def or stick with just the 3 for now though, Leeds have City so can't see Dallas coming out too good there, and Villa have 'Pool, that's tricky as that's both my keepers, also have a Villa Def :rolleyes: both away to strong teams, who's likely to conceed less is the choice there

Klopp Klopp Boom increase their lead at the top of the Head 2 Head league to 11 points after winning their H2H with Rotund FC 58 - 28. So no top v bottom upset there then. ;) Have to make do with real life for upsets like that. (WBA v Chel$ki ;) :LOL:) It looks like almost everyone behind is slipping up. :rolleyes:

The lead is increased because Amber Army (2nd) lost their H2H with Penfold's Dangermice 45 - 50. Biggin Bangers in 3rd lost their H2H with Woodys wonders 32 - 38. DTFC Snapper in 4th lost their H2H with Mrs Smith's Boys 31 - 58. Last week's 5th placed team, Banished to Riyadh lost to Farcealona 37 - 57, and were pushed down a position to 6th, as Hardly Athletic won their H2H with Atletico High Street 71 - 62, to go on equal points as Banished to Riyadh, but ahead on total cumulative points.

horspath hounds lost to AVERAGE 44 - 46. :oops: :$ Unfortunately the closest result.

Next to take on AVERAGE are 2nd placed Amber Army. Hodně štěstí. ;)

I had a good week, and won my H2H with JUSTSTAYEDUP 67 - 40. :) I remain in 11th place.

Thank you again, Redhead. I think I got a bit lucky this week against Amber Army with our choice of captains making the difference.

I think it might be time to drop the City players thanks to Pep's rotational policy but just who to replace them with is the question.
 
That Champ league match didn't make things any easier! We already know Salah can score, but nobody else really shone in that one [Jota did assist the goal]. Arnold made some serious slip ups costing them a goal and was breezed past a couple of times by Madrid strikers , also received a yellow card.

The price of Jota has risen, only other I see that's risen is Richarlison for Everton

I've made my moves anyway, have enough cover in case of an injury and if I don't do it now I'll just keep chopping and changing and never be happy. Only one I might have waited on is Mount, who will replace Gundog in MF, as he will prob play in the champ league tonight. Other switched were Salah for Aubamayang and Phillips for Cancello. Got cover for all areas
 
The better your set up becomes, the tougher it is to choose a Captain! First world problems! I have at least 5 deserving, Kane maybe the dodgiest!

I've brought Jota and Foden in for Son and Saka. Fingers crossed it works out. Jota and Foden may not be guaranteed to start, particularly Foden with the many changes Cit€h make, :rolleyes: but they have both been getting good points, so as long as there is a good option on the bench they can be in the team. ;) :)

Brave move the week before Son has a double up!
I'm so tempted by Jota, but I have no direct switch to make unless i got rid of Son too, but that's not in my plans especially with the double, and spur's decent remaining fixtures. Other than that, it would be Gundo or Raphinna to make way for him, but neither gives me enough funds for a straight swap.
 
I might just do Jota as captain, Salah is too obvious, think more will go that way or Kane. I'll do one or other of them as Vice on the off chance Jota doesn't play. Going strong across MF again, as all of my defence have tricky games. Was wary of Mount in MF, but if he can score away V Porto ...

Can't be too choosey, have to pick the backline that goes against my attackers the least, so hopefully city have a bad day, as I'm going with Messlier rather than Martinez [want Jota to bag a few V Villa!] and then Dallas in for Wan Bisaka as I have Kane up front, at home V United.
