Yeah surely they can't mess up against Southampton!?

Losing my H2H atm, but looking around at the teams many made slip ups, a fair amount of benched goal scorers and clean sheets. Had a CSS on the bench here too. Juststayedup has Son to play later but I do have players in the following 3 matches inc the 3 City players so I have some hope

They might be in a mini league with prize money for weekly wins, which the minus points don't affect. Ours is like that and there's always 1 or 2 that do this once they're out of the running for the top 3. Strangely in FPL minus points are taken off the monthly and overall scores but not the weekly score - apart from in H2H leagues... Never understood that!

Or trying to win the FPL league for team value, where making the right transfers to maximise profit means more than points!

I was thinking maybe something like that, maybe betting with his mates who scores highest each week. Also always confused by the scoring system, the minus for transfers should be taken in both or even instant

Also did anyone else consider Bale then not go through with it? :D

I was scared he wouldn't start! Still am, I'll not be getting him..... Probably!
 
I could be tempted as it looks like Rashford picked up a knock, will have to keep an eye, I'd earn .3m for the trade too, also Spurs play GW29 where United don't.

Not a bad move for 29, manU have a run of hard games.... But that didn't bother them today!
 
I think I'll be doing a bunch of transfers next couple rounds, need to make some sharp moves or just stay in the bottom half for the season, nothing to lose really

I think your team is set up pretty well, obviously Rashford potentially needs sorting.

Looks alright on paper but many of them I brought in after they'd had their best days.

Lingard is gone now too till end of March, hasn't even had the chance to play for me :/. I had planned to dump DCL [again] if he doesn't deliver this time so we'll see. I dropped Bamford for DCL for the double week with the intention of bringing him back for 29, was hoping not to have injuries by then. Looking at transfers I have a few possible moves that won't hurt much and could work out for the better. Obviously I'll wait till deadline this time ... :whistle:

Sounds like you have a plan! for me it (almost) always works out better looking a few weeks ahead rather than making rash decisions.
This week, unless an injury pops up, I'm likely to roll my free transfer over to next week.
Fingers crossed for my Leeds triple up this evening!

It's somewhere in the middle, I'm not going to crazy [for now] more wanting to make a couple changes and I'd bet on them working out better than what I have ;) Long term plan is a bit foggy, like I say I can stick mid table or drop away or try do .... something. If I were higher up I'd be more careful but honestly, anyone my poition or lower needs to take some chances now
 
What exactly is the story with Lingard? he has a red icon so I presumed injury, but it says ineligble to face his parent club on the 14th? That's United right? so he might be fine to face Leeds tonight? If that's all it is I can hold him and just bench him for the United game, that's 4pts saved then :D

Also I'm an idiot, DCL cannot prove himself tonight as he's on the bench :banghead: well, my bench he will most likely play so can still what he does

He wasn't in my original plan, so will bench him and bring him back for that short week. I have almost decided what I'm going to do over the next 2 rounds, and it's not going to cost me much at all, obviously I will hope the fresh players that come in at least get some points .... because the ones they'll replace sure as chit aren't :ROFLMAO:
 
Remember that there are European games this week, so anyone contemplating changes may want to wait till those games are over. ;)

Yeah I'm slowly learning that one too! Also be aware there's a game Fri night so you do need to get 'em in before 18:30 Fri

It's right down tomorrow night's match for my H2H, currently 50-47 in my favor after 4pts done for transfer - My 3 Cit€h boyos as redhead17 refers to them :D Vs one Southampton defender and a City Striker. Could be close if Jesus does play

Lingard played and scored in the end but also missed a penalty :/

I'm currently ahead 59 - 54 against Klopp Klopp Boom in our H2H. I only have Gundogan to potentially play in the last game of the week, and he is my Captain. :) Klopp Klopp Boom has Stones, Gundogan (Vice Captain) and De Bruyne (Captain) to potentially play. I think the only ways for me to stay ahead is if Stones and De Bruyne don't play, and Gundogan does. The result would stay the same. Or if everyone plays, a high scoring draw with De Bruyne getting sent off early, Stones letting in a load of goals, and Gundogan scoring. ;) :LOL:

To be more realistic though, I'm happy with my score so far. For the last few weeks the combination has been working, and I have been picking the right player as Captain mostly, or at least not the totally wrong player. ;) To be with a chance of beating Klopp Klopp Boom with the high scoring consistency they have shown throughout makes me think I'm going in the right direction. Finally. :rolleyes::)

Edit: Just realised I have two more points coming because Holden didn't play, and so will be replaced by Robertson, so time will tell if those two extra points make the difference after the final game. :)

Sad times when you leave a Liverpool full back out for fear of losing points. :(

I hope the opposite for De Bruyne obviously as he's my captain! Gun can sit it out for all I care as everyone seems to have him so I've little to gain there bar for my H2H. It's 53-47 atm, Creswell got 3 bonus points after which is nice. Puts me in front by a goal or CS at kick off, if the 3 guys do play I'd be in a good spot bar a disaster like you're trying to jinx :P

unfortunately its Penandez and Bamford I think :/ Much depends on City bouncing back tomorrow and keeping a clean sheet

Looking at the rules it seems you're right, if you'd only had 3 Def on then you'd have actually gotten James and Bamford so it's at least not the worst outcome

Prioritising Your Bench For Automatic Substitutions
Your substitutes provide cover for unforeseen events like injuries and postponements by automatically replacing starting players who don"t play in a Gameweek.

For the purpose of automatic substitutions playing in a Gameweek means playing at least 1 minute or receiving a yellow / red card.

Based on the priorities you assign, automatic substitutions are processed at the end of the Gameweek as follows:

  • If your Goalkeeper doesn't play in the Gameweek, he will be substituted by your replacement Goalkeeper, if he played in the Gameweek.
  • If any of your outfield players don't play in the Gameweek, they will be substituted by the highest priority outfield substitute who played in the Gameweek and doesn't break the formation rules (eg. If your starting team has 3 defenders, a defender can only be replaced by another defender).

Same for me. 2 from 3 starting, stones benched. That's once too often for me, he's gone in the next week or 2
 
KDB goal, that changes my H2H!

And the Southampton goal does me fine in the overall ranking since I don't have a playing city defender!

Ouch! The team just above me [should say us, just realised you're right behind me!] did have him on field, as captain ... need KDB to bag in another [few] to catch them up now but my H2H does look a lot safer

Just seen De Bruyne's goal, was a tap in from rebound save, so not exactly like he's on fire just right place right time

Aye, KDB is your differential in both cases now

Interestingly all 3 MC goals have come from rebound

[edit] And BOOM! another for KDB, nice. No chance of the hat-trick though as he's been subbed, saving him for the weekend no doubt
