Yet another request for opinions!
I currently have a Canon 40D with EF-S 10-22, EF-S 17-85 and an EF 100 2.8 Macro (non IS but the later USM). Also have a Sigma 17-500 but don't need the length this gives anymore.
Have decided to go full frame with the 5D mkII so will need to change the lenses as well. Thought it would be worth (as I currently can and probably won't ever be able to again) go for L lenses. The ones I am looking at are:
EF 17-40 f4.0 L - figured this would be more or less a direct replacement for the 10-22.
EF 70-200 f4.0 L (non IS) - would like the IS but that is a lot extra, as is the f2.8
Sigma 50 1.4 - to fill the gap between the two above.
EF 100 f2.8 L IS macro - I know the one I already have is going to fit, but have read that this one is better, and the added weather proofing (and the L) would be worth having.
Are there any others I should consider or do you think that will cover what I need. My photography is mainly landscapes, macro and still life (never take pictures of people!)
Thanks for any help,
Brian
