Nice colours and textures, and definitely not a shoe horn. It doesn't look quite sharp on my screen, but maybe my eyes are just confused by the multitude of textures going on

Certainly is cracked, good range of tones and textures

Thanks Chris (y)

Fits nicely, well thought out, great texture.

Thank you Walter :)

Thanks Bernd ...you're right, and I'm amazed no one else has said it, I missed that vital sharpness in the centre, it was very annoying when I got home and saw it on the computer !

Spooky is only an iphone pic so not great quality :( but I hope it looks Spooky enough.

Grandaughter and I went to a Halloween performance by The Rogue Theatre Company in Tehidy woods last night ...it was so good, full of totally wacky, zany madness, performed deep in the heart of the woods, the location is perfect. On the way to the main stage you encounter all sorts of strange scenes ...this was one of them.

Susiejb.....I was about to ask what sort of neighbourhood u keep... but it's Halloween so I'll just think how normal this looks

Its not everyday you stumble over an isolator in the woods :D

Good find Susie, fits in very snugly :)

Hi Susie. I wouldn't have thought there would be as much texture and colour in a split tree trunk as you've managed to get for Cracked. Spooky looks spooky enough for me. Sounds like a good night actually - a bit different from the norm.

Very strange happenings, excellent subject for the theme too

Thanks Chris, definitely not the norm ...it just worked out right for the theme.

Spot on for the theme, good hard light an deep shadows, very spooky!

Thank you Chris, it turned out better than I thought, the iphone is usually useless at night but there were plenty of bright lights around.

Thanks Carl ...the Rogue Theatre does have to be seen to be fully appreciated ...very good fun.

Gotta love all the Halloween stuff that gets put on nowadays, wasn't like this when I was young enough to be door knocking :)

:) it just gets crazier each year, I don't think it was even heard of when I was young :)

Very strange happenings, excellent subject for the theme too

Thanks Allan (y)

totally wacky, zany madness, for sure.

You do have to be a little bit crazy to appreciate it d00d o_O

Well, very unusual to say the least. But good photo, fits the theme!

Hi Susie,
Looks like a scary version of Snow White, sans the dwarves.
Spot on theme, nicely composed and lit (though I suspect the lighting was done for you).

Thanks Tim ...yes, I was surprised it came out so well, there was a big spotlight front left that I've cloned out, it definitely gave the neccessary light.

I get totally engrossed when experimenting ... time just flies. Must get around to trying out oil and water images - fabulous results Susie, particularly 1 & 2. The frame-filling submission for Pose is seasonal and colourful and Yes, I'd say the primary figure in particular qualifies for the theme.

Those oil on water photos are very good indeed, like Carl, it's something I have never tried but you collage is inspirational.

I supPOSE its alMOUSE Christmas
Groan :D
Made me smile though and it's well done (y)

Thanks Carl, I love oil and water, I used to use marbling inks, but they've run out, they work well too,
I wish I'd rearranged those mice before I took it o_O

Thanks Chris .... we won't mention Pose  :$

Lovely colours in the re-shoot Susie

As for pose ..

Wot he said :D

Okay, I just had a moment madness as I walked around the garden centre. I'm feeling suitably humiliated  :$

I'm feeling suitably humiliated
No,No, not at all, I've added you as a member to the shoe horn club
Not too many more to convert now :D

Hi Susie.
Liquid Re-shoot - Very nice collage. Plenty of colour and nicely abstract (y)
Pose - First of the many shoe horns I suspect we'll have this week. I did chuckle.
I would have been tempted to saturate the reds a bit more, but that's just me.

Love the bubbles Susie, the little bunnies are ok, the one in the front is a poser.:)

Shoehorn of the week indeed, I struggled this week to get any inspiration, works fine for me, nice oil and water pics

Thanks Tim, I did give it a bit of a boost, but I agree it would have taken a bit more.

Hahaaa best shoehorn of the week  a very festive collection... not long now :)

Always like your bubble susie .... quite fascinating.

And crowbar required for your Pose effort ... I do like it tho, it's sweet.

Like the oily bubbles for the colours.

Also like the full framed Pose image.

Your spooky adventure looks like a lot of fun - you seem to get out to lots of interesting performances!
I'm glad you got to take your oil ad water pics after all Susie - the results are stunning, such vibrant colours.
As for pose...I fear the influence of @Cobra and @posiview might be becoming too great... ;)

Thanks for looking in Emma, I did enjoy doing the water pics. ...I think Pose is definitely my worst choice this year  :$

Saw this yesterday on the BBC news website very touching, spot on susie (y)

Very much on theme Susie, and such a good turn out for Walnut too

Spot on Susie - I read about it too ... very touching. Very Lowry-esque ... love it.
