Thanks everyone for the geography AND cooking lessons!
To get back onto the original subject, while out walking last week, (climbing Ingleborough) it started raining, I whipped my paramo out of my rucky, shoved it over my head (kagoole type) then realised my hat was gone (it was windy at the time! honest) I turned round to see where it had blown to but could not see it. My (4) mates asked what I was doing so I told them my hat had blown off and I could not find it.
That started a full blown search with 5 of us strung out over the flanks of Ingleborough looking for my hat! This went on for 30 mins or so until I said to pack it in as it was no fun wandering around up here in the rain.
Off we went down the hill (eventually) ending up in the coffee shop in Ingleton.
Now I NEVER go out without my Craghopper cap, NEVER, so I was pretty grumpy about loosing it, but heyho, I could always buy another so drove home after a good day out.
I parked the car on the drive, got my gear out of the boot, opened the front door, and on the hall table was my CRAGHOPPER CAP!!
I couldnt believe it! I never had it on, and to make it worse, none of my mates had realised and we had ALL searched the ruddy hillside for 30 mins looking for the cap that was sat at home!! Ever felt a complete berk??
I told them (mates) I had bought another!!
