It's simple things that have been bugging me ever since I started driving couple of years ago.
Why, why, why, why, why do people drive with fog lights on ALL the time??
really bugs me when I'm blinded by some goon trying to look 'cool'
because they are one of 2 people, they are either-
1)the moronic sort that are so unobservant they cant see the foglight warning light on the dashboard, so they dont realise they have got them on, the same sort of driver that drives around in the middle lane of the motorway...
2) the moronic sort that realise they have there foglights on, realise they are blinding every person that comes towards them but dont care either, the same sort of driver that drives around in the middle lane of the motorway.....
ive tried and you can see no better in normal conditions with foglights on or off, as the light is very low and concentrated on the area right infront of the car, an area that you dont generally need to look at (as when your driving at even 30mph your looking along way infront of the car)
so these people are just complete ****s, i just now stedfastly refuse to turn my main beam off if someone has foglights on (unless there are cars behind them), they;re blinding me so its tit for tat as far as im concerned, i used to drive a mini and as you sit so low if someone has mainbeam or badly adjusted lights you get completely blinded, with foglights on as well its just dangerous.
for some reason though car manufacturers insist on putting the rear foglights on car on a switch that requires the fronts to be on as well, often when its quite foggy id like to put my rear fog on (as im worried about somoene coming from behind and not seeing me) but i dont want to blind oncoming traffic by having the front fogs on (i end up driving with both and as soon as someone comes towards me i turn both off, so as not to blind others. having rear foglight first would mean you could ensure no one hits from the rear as your rear lights are much less visible in foggy conditions than your fronts, yet still be courtious to the cars coming towards you (maybe i could swao the pins on the switch over...)
