Ryan,
Good advice from Stewart to read the policy fully. Do not rely on the insurer's interpretation.
If you need any assistance, let me know. In an earlier life I used to write insurance policies. Mainly Motor Insurance and Commercial Insurances but the wordings are very similar. I am a Chartered Insurer.
With modern, so called plain English, wordings there may well be a definition of "forcible and violent entry". If not be prepared to argue that it still required force to open the door, even with the keys
The real bugbear here is the condition that you should take reasonable care to safeguard the property. If you look, that condition will be there. Having said that the fact that your contents insurers are paying your claim they do not share the view. Use that with your camera insurers.
Your household insurance will cover your cameras as long as the sum insured is adequate. You may, however, have a single article limit that is less that the value of the D3 - check.
Both policies will have a subrogation clause, which means if the items are insured twice, each will only bear their proportion of the loss. That shouldn't cause any problems but be aware of it just in case your household insurers quote it. They may also have a clause excluding items more specifically insured elsewhere - viz. your cameras.
Hope I haven't confused you and I hope all goes smoothly and you don't need to worry about exclusions and conditions but if you need any assistance, pm me. I'm on here most days a number of times and will happily assist.
Ken
